I have not done any kind of foiling before, so my question might be a bit off. 😢 If you still have to use the medium, (pops of color), then what is the problem with the toner? Thank you. The foiling looks really gorgeous. Idea - for layering stamps, you could just add a pop of foil with your method, too!

This is fantastic toner foiling alternative (instead of using messy toner ink)! Thanks so much for sharing this❣️ My guess is that Nuvo Drops MAY also work as they are similar to the Pops of Color.

I don’t have Nuvo drops to be able to try those, so I don’t know what consistency Nuvo is to even know if it would work. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Novo will probably foil but I don’t know how well. Just like liquid pearls can foil on paper, but I would NEVER put it on my stamps because of its paint like qualities. Just watched for the second time, and despite holding off and not being into foiling for years, you’ve enabled me to finally get a Minc! So thank you? 🙀 lol QUESTION: about how long after you apply the Pop Dots to the stamp can you wait before putting the panel through the Minc? Your first image was done quite a few minutes before you used it, since you worked on two other stamps too.

@ thank you! I meant can you stamp images with Pops of Color and wait until the next day or two to foil, or is it best to do it all right away. Btw, I saw an old video using Versamark embossing ink to stamp and heat emboss with an embossing bonding powder and run that through. But that adds heat embossing to the process, and your method streamlines it.

@ Yes, you can wait a day or two to foil. It’s totally fine to wait. 😊 This method is so easy and less mess. I don’t like messing with embossing powders that much. I always make a mess with powders. 😂😂

@@CreationsByMiss heat embossing was my entry drug to stamping/making cards, and I still adore it. But I’d rather not have to heat emboss every single time when wanting to foil - it would be a whole other process that has to be added to the foiling. Trying to decide between the mini and full sized. (The newer 8.5” Minc was tempting for a minute but it doesn’t have heat settings, so no.

@ The embossing powders are beautiful but not exactly cat friendly since I have 2 cats in my craft room that crave attention. Lol One wrong move and powders are everywhere. 😂 I love the Mini since it doesn’t take up too much space, but if you have room for the full size it would be super awesome if you love scrapbooking or to use on other cool projects. If you’re just into cards, the mini would serve you well. 🤗🤗❤️❤️ I’m so excited for you! 😍🥰

Excited to see this! I have the original Misti, but it only has a foam Matt that can be removed. Has no tackiness on it so can I just use the magnet to hold my paper down as I do for my regular stamping? I could apply some magic tape to keep in place if needed.

I don’t specifically have nuvo drops to be able to try it out so I’m not sure if it would work or not. You could squeeze a thin line of drop on a piece of paper, let it dry, then try foiling it to see if it will stick. If it doesn’t stick then there’s no chance of it working with stamps. This gel sets up pretty quickly so you can foil right away or wait a bit. Either way it works.

I haven’t tried it in my laminator yet to see if it works. Sometimes foiling can be tricky like that because all laminators heat differently and may not all achieve the same heat setting. I would definitely recommend trying it in your own laminator though to see if it works. 🤗🤗❤️❤️

The hack is using this specific product. I have not had any show through with the foils I have used. If you’re worried about show through depending on your foils, then purchase clear or white.

I wouldn’t recommend using a Glimmer machine as that is for HOT foil. The method the original poster is showing works with TONER foil.

I didn’t like the embossing powders method. Too messy and I don’t get the best quality result. With this it’s quick, easy and not messy. I love the results I get with this!❤️

@ A perfect example is, liquid pearls will foil once dry, but it’s more like a paint and I would NEVER apply it to my stamps. I’d be afraid of it ruining my stamps because of its thick paint like texture. Hope that makes sense.
