Sorry for the couple of brief moments of video latency in this video. I edited this video on a different MacBook Pro and forgot to change my FPS from 24 to 60 in Divinci Resolve, and didn’t notice it until after it was rendered. No worries as the problem has been found and fixed for future videos! We are free to resume our daily lives without fear and looting in our beautiful city streets!!!! I did my best to try to smooth it out in most parts, but there were a few spots where there was nothing more I could do. So on to the next video for you guys. Hey! no problem! It is out of habit that I hold the microphone close to my mouth when speaking. I do several speaking engagements every week and which I have to hold an SM 58 microphone close to my mouth or else they can’t hear me speaking into the mic the mayo, PD 100 you does very well anywhere from 2 to 10 inches away from the end address of the microphone . The main difference between the PD100 and PD 200 X in terms of sound is that the PD 100 has a V-shaped EQ where the mids are cut out of it, where the Maono PD100 has plenty of Low, AND mids while still able to Grab the highs in your voice. Basically - Pd200x is more balanced with Mids & the Pd100 is shallow in the mids. And just to be clear: the Maono PD100u does not have headphone monitoring if you were considering it along with the PD100&PD200x

I don't need monitorg, it's for the entry lvl streaming and vods, now I am using my phone connected to PC and it doesn't sound so bad lol To be honest watching all this reviews I don't feel any big difference between all this budget fifine, maono mics, hard to understand something (watched all USB starting from k669, PM461 and going further to K688, PD200x) The only really noticeable difference I see is the build quality and accessories, but you just mount once and that's it So does it make sense to buy some of the higher price mics in my case?

Jus try to find one that captures your voice in a way that doesn’t fatigue your listeners ears if it’s long content, and mics that capture high energy really well for your short form content 👍🏻 when it comes to maono and FiFine, they are really getting great quality at a budget price. 😎

I definitely feel like this thing slaps the snowball however, the snowball is old. I never heard of it until recently the blue yeti orb, I could only imagine if I mean that’s not what it’s supposed to be like blue yeti to blue yeti x or pro but for the snowball anyways, that thing I believe sounds better then the OG yeti (not snowball the orb) maybe it was the video I had watched but the maono or however spell it IMO now slaps the snowball; however like to say it’s older then me but I beat it by a year so 😅

To be honest this doesn’t have headphone monitoring which would be important to making sure you are in key as you sing, so you want a usb condenser mic with a headphone input. the k670b from FiFine had headphone monitoring and there is a video on KZbin with a guy using it as he’s singing - sounded amazing for that price. It is titled memories - maroon 5 acoustic version by lane Austin. The rode NTH-100’s are the best bang for your Buck, outperforming $300 headphones. But if you are looking for the low end headphones I used the brand EKSA For 2 years. Very comfortable, did a good job for me. Didn’t feel a need to upgrade until the Rode NTH-100 was released. amzn.to/3PFK7h6

The PD200x gives you ability to where headphones with latency free monitoring, ability to use xlr if you are ready to expand, and the pD200x is MUCH BETTER at plosives, and can you can use it with the maono-digital app in usb mode to eq your mic. The pD100u has a better sound out of the box, but no headphones, requires a pop filter to knock down plosives (extra cost because one is not included) and is not compatible/recognized in Maono’s own digital app. If you get the pD100u, it is because of the look and the sound, but the PD200x beats it out everything else.

@@papagoygarcia really depends on your voice. Pd200x is strong in the mids and PD100 is strong in lows and high with the mids scooped out. I personally like and use the pd100 more, but that is because I like it on my voice better

I am starting a youtube Channel, so much confused between maono PD100U and the Fifine AM8 / K688. i read your previous comment on this. Only the PD100U and K668 come with a stand that is crucial for me and i will be using only the USB interface. can you help me decide which one is the best Pro sounding audio quality?

If I had to start a KZbin channel today using usb mic, I would go with the FiFine K688 for its performance, it is absolutely amazing for spoken word, but you would need a desk top mic stand. If you want an all in one package / stand included, go with the AM8. I will tell you though that even FiFine recommends using a mic stand or a boom arm over the stands that come with them because they can pick up tapping/bumping of the desk easier. I would prefer the k688 with a cheap ($30) boom arm and you will be golden.

I would choose the pD200x. prefer the sound the pD100u gives, but I don’t like that it does not have a jack for headphone monitoring. If headphone monitoring is not something you need, then PD00u. If you want zero latency headphone monitoring, it’s the pD200x

@@mehrandehqani-bh1bjthe pD200x is good with noise rejection, but pretty much any budget mic is going to be. Noise rejection from rooms handling noise, etc, that is why the SM7B, sm57, Logitech blue Sona, sm58, SR117 are so good. The are built to handle such things. Sub $100 mics focus on getting you great audio but have to leave it at the top keep the price down. The Fifine am8, is probably the best of the budget mics at audio tone out of the box and knocking down room noise from windows, but its handling noise and build quality are below the standard. I think for your situation, the pD200x handles the more of your issues as a whole than the others, which is why the PD200x is widely considered the best value buy for what you get as a whole and the price you pay. It’s not a master of anything, but good to really good at a bunch of things! Plus it gives you an app to EQ your mic when using usb mode, the pD100u won’t work in the maono app. Fifine doesn’t even have one at all. Maono mics are all 24bit audio, fifine is only 16bit. That really only comes into play if you like to process your audio in post production though.

If for Just voice overs - I like the Maono. I personally like my voice over mics to be very clear& crisp with my voice, and not muddy and I love how crisp it is and it does a better job of handling plosives right out of the box. I think the FiFine has a deeper sound, but again, for just voice overs the Maono is a little more crips at the mid to top for my voice. If I am going to use a mic for livestreams, gaming, and podcasting plus voice overs I would go with the FiFine because of the richness BUT HONESTLY, you will not be disappointed with either one.

PD100u is a dynamic microphone which means you should stay 2-4 inches or away to get the best sound. With the DM 30 being a condenser microphone you can be 6 to 10 inches away and still get amazing sound. The dynamic microphone is better at eliminating the background noises in your room and the condenser microphone picks up the fine details of your voice, but also picks up background noises that may be in your room. So if you have a quiet room, like to have a little bit of distance between you and your mic, or move around a bit as your talking I would go with the condenser mic which is the DM 30 because it has more reach. if you have a noisy room, little to no sound treatment, or you like to be right up on the mic as you talk, then I would definitely go with the PD100u. Quality wise- Both will give you amazing audio. It’s just identifying what your style is and what your room is as far as sound treatment and outside noise is bleeding into your audio. Hope this helps. One other note, as of now you are not able to use the software app with the PD100U, but I believe you can use the DM 30 with the app from Milano, and the app is amazing .

For recording music you would preferably want to use a xlr condenser (AT2020 or the Lewett LCT240pro) mic the Shure sm57 is amazing at both for just under $100. They are better at capturing the highs/mids/lows of your instruments, where dynamic mics (especially USB Mics) excel more at spoken word. To me, this is an excellent beginners mic for podcasting. If you’re in this for the long term and are stuck in USB mics the AT2020x USB mic will definitely do the job. I believe Billie Eilish actually used it to record one of her songs.

@@averyyoutube I just tried connecting it via the Usb-c to Usb-C input to my M1 Mac Mini, and the Maono Software app did not recognize it. A little disappointing, but I use OBS when doing live streams, which has a High, Mid Low, equalizer, compressor, noise suppression and other features.
