Does the dual output (USB & XLR) of PD400X operate alternately or can they be used simultaneously? If they can be used simultaneously, is it possible as a backup in case one of them encounters an issue? How about PD200X? Can the USB & XLR be used simultaneously? I appreciate your help.
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
You can record simultaneously on the 400X, but I don’t know about the 200X as I don’t have that microphone

what's your take on the the maono Pd200x in comparison to these mics?
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
I haven't tried the PD200X but it looks suspiciously similar to this mic from FiFine--kzbin.info/www/bejne/hH6ZmKWrYtWVr9E If it is the same, it's OK, but I'd take the PD400x over it but not the PD100U

Помогите выбрать что лучше, pd100 или xm8500?
@528HzCreativeFrequency-uq5vd Жыл бұрын
You mentioned pd400 you can't tight the screw on the mount and 🎤 moves up and down. Is this that same case with the other 🎤 pd100u? That is a deal breaker for me.
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
The PD100-U was more solid. It stayed in place better, shouldn't be a problem

hey guys somebody knows the size of the foam windscreen? I need to buy one that fits the pd100.
@F01L Жыл бұрын
Is the pd100 good for streaming, content creating and singing or should I spend more on another mic? If so, what mics do you recommend? Pd400x included.
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
I personally wouldn't go for the PD100U. You'd at least want a mic with a headphone input to monitor your audio. Samson Q2U, Q9U. Sennheiser Profile. Rode Podmic USB. Rode NT1-USB. Those are some alternatives I'd look at before the Maono
@F01L Жыл бұрын
@@PhillipRPeck by "before the maono" does that include the pd400x ?
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
@@F01L Eh, it's fine. I don't like the yoke mount. It doesn't tighten enough to keep the mic secure
@F01L Жыл бұрын
@@PhillipRPeck but personally you'd look into those mics before the maono ? mount aside. I'm more focused on the sound quality, build, functionality first and the other stuff next
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
@@F01L I like the Samson Q2U because it's been out for a long time. It's a known quantity in terms of quality and longevity. Rode has really good warranties so they stand behind their products so the Podmic USB gets a vote. Sennheiser is Sennheiser. That's why I put those on the list above the Maono. I don't know about the long term quality and durability of the Maono. I like the way it sounds, though.

Bro Im looking for a great (best) XLR mic at about 150-250$ I like the sound of the Shure MV7x but the plosives are just killing me I also like the sound of the Neat King Bee 2 but I feel like it's too heavy in weight what would you recommend me in that price range? I will be doing gaming commentary, no singing or musical instruments, TY!
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
There are so many great options and many that I haven't tried. If you like the King Bee, maybe take a look at the Lewitt microphones in that price range. They're a lot smaller but should have a similar, clean and crisp sound. Also the Rode NT1 is a great-sounding microphone at $250. The MV7X plosives are an easy fix if you pick up a SM7B windscreen (RK345). My pick would probably be the Rode

@@PhillipRPeck Thanks alot for the information and ur reply! I'll be looking into them, also 1 last question: Ur videos and mostly audio is of incredible quality, what software do you use for post processing, I assume u do that to make it sound even better right love ur channel!

@@PhillipRPeck Gotcha, I personally edit in Sony Vegas but I don't think that's the way to go for audio post processing right?

I don't know anything about Vegas unfortunately. I'm sure it has decent plugins for audio. I don't do anything particularly fancy

PD400X vs Podmic ? Which one is better in your opinion?
@PhillipRPeck Жыл бұрын
I prefer the sound of the PD400X but it doesn't do well with handling noise or plosives. The Podmic isn't great in those departments, either, but it is a bit better and it's a bit less expensive (XLR-only of course).
@j0shll0yd Жыл бұрын
I agree. All the reviews I have heard of the Podmic it sounds very bright & tinny. 400x for the win.
