This is why A'Tin are probably the most dedicated fanbase. We love them so much. Their stories and their brotherhood are as beautiful as their songs. In fact their songs tell their story. "Mapa" was born when they were in constant tour and were feeling homesick. "What?" is their answer to the people who are saying that their sound is not "Filipino" enough to represent PPop. "Bazinga" and "Mana" are for the haters who fueled their yearn to prove something. It was Justin who asked Pablo to create a song describing their struggles and anxiety while under ShowBT, hence, came "Ilaw". Back when they almost drifted apart because of their anxiety and self-worth, "WYAT" was created. "I can't feel your heartbeat in the zone." "The Zone" is where they hang out, practice and create music. "SLMT", "Hanggang sa Huli", "Liham" etc are their message for A'Tin And last but not the least "Go Up" is their manifestation song :D and they made true of every promises they made on that song. I think this is why they perform with so much passion :>

Just a correction tho. SB19 just recently cleared something about their training days. They didn't actually trained under the strict Kpop training sytem, they were actually training by themselves most of the time. Even us fans were shocked about this. But Ms. Hongganda really helped them with personality development among other things which made her and Tatang Robin 2 of the most significant people during the process of making the most successful Ppop group today.

Josh, being the eldest, is always the first to defend the boys when someone makes an attack on them. It's his mature personality that provides pillar to the boys. His line in KALAKAL proved how outspoken he is. 1Z Entertainment, the mgt company owned by the boys recently shared that they now own the trademarks that were rightfully theirs in the first place. The chain or "KADENA" that was spat by Josh in the song is now cut and they are FREE. Thanks for the review. Love from the Philippines ❤

Their SHOWBREAK F!VE series is a good watch if you want to see another side of their personalities ❤ Also, although it was ShowBT who brought the boys together, Pablo recently revealed that they had to rely on each other to train themselves. Here's what he said, "For us, we only had one mentor. And then we had personality development classes for how we present ourselves onstage, but other than that, nothing else. It’s like we were left in the training room to hone our skills ourselves. So I can’t say that we underwent the Korean training system. There are comparisons and we got to meet Korean artists whom we asked how they trained, and they had similar experiences. What happened was, we were left in the training room. I had singing knowledge and I tried to teach singing to (the) other members, and then those who were good at dancing taught us how to dance. That’s how I proved that experience is the best teacher. Whenever there was an event, we taught each other right there, or if a song needed to be recorded, I would be the one to record them. We learned everything; we even edited our own content by ourselves before."

Their training days were their lean days too, both literally and figuratively. They hardly had two pennies to rub together because they were receiving only allowance, not salary. They made do with cheap cosmetics they had to apply themselves, bought cheap clothes they had to wear over and over again, worked often with empty stomachs - the whole nine yards - but they persevered amidst all the condescension and uncertainties. And how.

Pop music in the Philippines is already in existence before SB19. But this Pinoy supergroup broke such sound and brought it to be known even globally, crafted music in their very own out-of-this-world talents and skills, and of course inspired millions of A'TIN. That made SB19 the PPOP KINGS!

❤ Proud to be an international A’tin! A’tin has international chapters in some countries - US, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Dubai, etc. built by fans themselves. We may be small in numbers but we are the most dedicated fandom because we desire to propel SB19 globally and for Filipino music recognition in a global stage. Last year, A’tin won the Billboard Fan Army Face Off and beaten Seventeen’s Carat fandom. This year, we are vying for a back to back win, now in the finals against Rihanna’s fandom! Yes, we are friendly and inclusive but some A’tin are fierce when bashers mock/insult/hate and spread malicious news against our Mahalima. We are a unique fandom! It was an A’tin who designed the SB19’s light stick. It was an A’tin who designed our logo (you should check out the meaning behind A’tin logo and you’ll be amazed). It was an A’tin who coined the term “Mahalima” a combination of the words Mahal + Lima. Mahal (love) and Lima (five) has 2 meanings - “We love the five” or “The five loves us”. We call each other “Kaps” a short form of kapatid meaning sibling. A’tin is more than just a fandom, we are a movement (sort of 😄), we are a family so attending concerts means meeting new friends! A’tin call out each other when a fellow A’tin is being too much on socmed. We follow Pablo’s mantra - “Choose to be kind!”. We support other Ppop groups because it is SB19’s vision (especially Pablo) for Ppop rise. A’tin organize charity events on behalf of SB19 without being asked! In San Mateo (northern California), the county declared July 28 as SB19 day! And in Vancouver, Canada, the city declared Aug 18 as SB19 day. During concert sound checks or in between Wishbus performance, they love to play “Rock, Paper, Scissors ” to fans. There’s more to know about the bond between SB19 and A’tin.

SB19 paved the way as the first PPop group who took all the hatred, disrespect, and bashings first hand. That's why other PPop groups nowadays are much easily accepted, they benefitted from SB19's visions and hardwork. These people tried to discredit SB19, some even make fake news and all sorts of defamations against SB19 members even until now. But SB19 got good morals, because they believe in God. SB19 give glory to God, and God will never betray them.

Actually, up until now, they have contact with Ms. Hongganda. She was actually present on the press-conferrence when Justin had his debut as a solo artist and released Surreal. ❤ 30:27 honestly, this presscon STILL pains every single A’Tin. Some can’t even watch the full presscon because of what those reporters did to them. At least it made them stronger. 31:33 yes. The rest quit because their training doesn’t have any salary or allowance and here in the Philippines, it’s big that you help your family and them being trainees aren’t bringing money to their families. But it was just for at least 2 weeks and one by one they returned. Justin was actually one of the first to comeback and would train alongside Stell. 33:35 yes! You’re one of us! ❤❤

Our SSOB (BOSS in reverse, often used as an endearment for Josh) - the protector of the group/his brothers, amazing with interviews, and the mastermind behind some of their business decisions (Ken has even mentioned Josh is great with the finances). He can literally be a life coach. Can't wait until you start seeing their interviews! Each member have so much to offer and so much talent! To clarify here is what Pablo has to say about the so-called "Strict Korean Training" they underwent under ShowBT: "Well, I’m going to tell you the story of SB19. Of course there’s what you call a Korean training system but it’s a very general term - like each Korean management, they each have a different way of training. We didn’t experience that kind of training system but we have friends who were able undergo training at RBW and their training is so intensive that they have schedules for gym, studying languages, dancing, and singing. Everything has a schedule, and they have free time to hone their skills by themselves. It wasn’t that way with us. For us, we only had one mentor. Eventually we were able to form a team and we helped each other, but all our skills were really self-taught. So it’s hard to say that we underwent the Korean training system." He said this on a newspaper article last month and this is the first time this so-called training was revealed to the public. That Casual Chuck's video is a bit outdated
@MetanoiaGaming-tf7ep4 ай бұрын
I hope you read this because a lot of people are trying to discredit SB19 by using the "Korean Training" argument. It was Pablo and Stell who teach the rest of them how to sing. It was Stell and Ken who choreographed most of their early works. Even with their wardrobe and appearance. It was Stell who would do everyone's make up and Justin will cut their hair.

There were already a lot of PPop groups before dating back to 80s-90s. However it wasn't until SB19 appeared that we have the PPop that we have now. That's why many if not all see them as PIONEERS because they were the first ones, the only PPop group that time, who set this high standard. SB19 was the one who handled the brunt of media disrespect and disapproval of the masses. They really went through a lot and because of that the groups after them have a bit of leeway (not saying they didnt go thru hardships but it was definitely easier - - entering the market and being a PPop group - - compare to the boys). I just love them so much and they deserve the world stage which will happen ❤️🌭🌽🐥🍓🍢

Because we only started using the term ppop to set them apart from kpop. Before we just referred to it as pop. because since it’s all local, we never had to make that distinction. When SB19 got noticed internationally, that’s when we had to start saying, hey that’s not kpop, or jpop, it’s ppop.

The boys have gone so much hardship, doubt and ridicule but despite that they never lost sight of their dreams. Their hearts remained true as well. I've never seen such humility tbh. That's why A'tin is very protective of them. Mahalima always! 💙

thank you so much for this RV 😊 you really were on point on a lot of things and specially about the fandom.. The boys inspire us and teach us to be good people.. when there are SB19 bashers, A'tin's knee jerk reaction is to bash back, but Pablo's words 'always choose to be kind' has become a mantra that resonates among the fans.. 😊 this is why we love them so much 😊❤

Their first album "get in the zone" definitely has kpop influence because they had help from korean composers, but from pagsibol ep to pagtatag ep, pablo and the boys made it solely themselves and it has a purely unique ppop sound thanks to pablo's genius mind in composing all of SB19 songs, thanks for addressing josh's strength because he really is amazing bec not everyone that went through difficult times especially in their teenage years can become like josh now, he has a very good mentality with a humble heart, it is really hard seeing them teary eyed so brace yourself when you watch Josh's latest solo "sumaya" and Justin's latest "kaibigan" both of them will make you cry with their great acting skills🥰🍢🍢🍢💙💙💙

You are right that PPop has a Kpop influence because for one, KPop was really global and Filipinos are KPop fanatics. So to penetrate the market, they had to use the same strategy because in our country, there were PPop groups but they did not thrive until SB19. So when you listen to SB19's first album, the songs have a lot of KPop influence. Mainly because SB19 was pretty unknown so the producers they had to get were koreans as well since they were under a Korean-run company. But in the next EP Pagsibol, you can already hear the sound the SB19 wants to be known for. Especially since they are already producing their own music.
@proudajero17094 ай бұрын
Their songs never had any influence of Kpop though. Maybe the choreography. Remember getting inspired and influenced are two different words.
@positivebreadtv62354 ай бұрын
@@proudajero1709 Most of the songs from their Get In The Zone album like Go Up, Alab, Tilaluha, etc. were produced by Korean producers (like Oh Won Lee who was also doing songs for Kpop artists) but were written by Pablo so the influence was there because they had a direct hand in making those songs. Also, their Wag Mong Ikunot Ang Iyong Noo is a tagalized korean novelty song. Later on, when they were doing the production themselves, the sound gradually became their own. Even now, because SB19 doesn't stick to one genre, they are inspired by everything really.

Let’s be clear tho. Pinoy pop has long existed before SB19, or even before KPOP got big. However, we never formally called it “PPOP”. Just pop, or really just part of OPM. When SB19 got known internationally, we called it PPOP to make it distinct from KPOP. And now PPOP is now a term we use to encompass all popular music, even the ones outside of idol music.
@positivebreadtv62354 ай бұрын
@@kk_sj3635 Yes kaps. I totally agree. I guess this was what I was getting at, since it was only when SB19 started that it was labeled as PPop, it had a Kpop influence through SB19 when they were starting. But I'm not generalizing PPop here because ALAMAT has been doing their own thing since they debuted. But 1st One was also KPop influenced and they were the next group to debut after SB19.

Just to clarify, Filipino Pop was not derived from KPop. Pop in the Philippines was thriving and was dominated by soloists. Many of Filipino pop singers could dance but those were never the highlight of their performances because they were first and formemost, vocalists. On the other hand, KPOP, while also consisting of many genres, was dominated by idol music. And that was what was missing in the Filipino pop scene. That’s how Tatang Robin was inspired to create SB19 and it worked. SB19 simply happened to be one of the first internationally recognized idol groups from the Philippines. And to set them apart from KPOP, people started calling it PPOP.
