Fun Fact: According to JBJ when the band's plane landed after the first leg of their 'Slippery When Wet' tour (their first big album) their manager met them on the tarmac with a briefcase and several men in suits. He opened the briefcase and handed them each the biggest check any of them had ever seen, and then pointed out the suits and said, "Those are your *first* checks. *These* are your new accountants, to make sure you don't blow them." Jon said he was absolutely right.

Funny story. My mother and I got to meet Bon Jovi and his band years ago when we were at a popular campsite in the South. Bon Jovi tour bus pulled up to "camp" and rest for the night. There were near by our area and my mother and I had a few of our friends with us who was also camping in another area but they came to our campsite and we were roasting hotdogs and marshmallows and making smores. I'm a singer and musician as most of my family is. And I was born and raised in the south. So I pulled out my guitar and started taking requests and started singing some songs. Low and behold Bon Jovi's tour bus showed up. But it was dark so we didn't really know it was them at first. I was singing and playing my guitar when I saw a group of guys making their way to our campsite. And I just about choked on my own tongue when I saw it was Bon Jovi and his band! They heard me singing and they came over. Jon and his band mates were so nice. They greeted and hugged us all and mama and I welcomed them to join us and I quickly grabbed some hotdogs and some marshmallows for them to roast. Jon said he enjoyed hearing me sing. He wondered if I might to play another song and him join in. I told him that I was a big fan of his music as well and I knew how to play some of his songs. So we sang the songs Wanted Dead or Alive, and Livin on Prayer and a few other songs before they turned in for the night to get some rest. He was so nice. And that truly was an awesome night that I will never forget. I also got his autograph and him and his band signed my guitar for me. :)

He did the flying over the audience like in ‘ living on a prayer’ I was 19 years old at the time and thought it was the most awesome experience of my life. Even though their 80s music is the biggest and put them out there, I love a lot of his later music too. Even though it’s very different it’s still fantastic.

We all loved Jon, but Jon has always been a one-woman man his high school sweetheart is his wife and he has never ever looked elsewhere. He is a genuinely good human being, he looks the look, but he has his love. And yes, one could argue THE 80s hair band.

He and his now wife did break up for a time during his height of fame. He famously dated actress Diane Lane, who this song is supposedly about. Apparently she was a nightmare for him, lol. He's a great guy doing what he can for those who need a hand up, running a non profit restaurant, helping to feed those in need even during the pandemic. @@adamfanalways your welcome! I've got too meet other stars in person since some of my family are singer, song writer and musicians. I have an older cousin in the business and he is actually good friends with Hank Williams Jr the country music singer. They sometimes play music together or go golfing. They are buddies. And Hank is such a sweet down to earth country boy who just happens to be famous and a great singer. I'm not sure how much of his music you have heard. I love so may of his songs especially the Country Folks Can Survive. I'm a Boniface Southern belle my self. So I appreciate all kinds of music but grew up.on Southern Gospel and Country music. Now.I love some of today's country music but my favorite country music and the artists are from the 90's or even before that with Dolly Parton. But I did see Jason Aldean in concert 2 years ago amd it was like being at a country rock concert. I also saw Metallica in concert 2 years ago and they sounded even better live than on their album. They are so talented! They have so many great songs. Amd there was people of all ages there. I could go on and on with all my fav bands. But I am a huge fan of Jon Bon Jovi, and Metallica, Alice n Chains, Linkin Park, Stevie Ray Vaughn who was one of the greatest guitar players who ever lived and he could even play the guitar backwards. And he played his guitar so hard he had to have guitars lined up in stage to make for quick smooth guitar changes. He could break 2 strings and he would just keep on playing cause he was so awesome he could do a great guitar solo using just 4 strings. Lol My mother was fortunate to see him in concert before he passed away. R.I.P. As great of a guitar player Jimmie Hendrix was, I watch KZbin videos back and forth between the two and I have to say that Stevie is way better than Jimmie. I also like White Snake, Seether, Eminem,, Evanescence, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns n Roses, Mathbox 20, The Goo Goo Dolls, Aerosmith, Nirvana, The Cranberries, Amy Winehouse, Celine Dion, Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Vince Gill, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, George Straight, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Tony Tucker, The Judds, Trisha Yearwood, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and so many others. LOL! I'm just a huge music fan. I love just about all kinds of music except for bluegrass. But I can handle Dolly singing bluegrass though. Nobody else though. Lol

My first Concert when I was 17 was Bon Jovi. It was fantastic!!! I had a hugh crush on him. 20 Years later I was on another Concert, and I was still blown away. They are a great Live Band. Greetings from Germany

Loved your face jay when the solo kicked in. Richie Sambora in my humble opinion is one of the most underrated guitarist ever. They were a great live band, seen them 4 times in Glasgow Scotland. Their first album was 1984 this song was 1986 Richie left the band in mid 2010s . If you want Bon Jovi more from this time, check out Wanted dead or alive, raise your hands, lay your hands on me and born to be my baby.

They are a real stadium band, so much fun live, have seen them 4 times and they are amazing. Also JBJ aside for being a stunning looking man has a beautiful compassion soul.

This is definitely one of their 80s songs. Other songs of theirs from the 80s include Runaway, Wanted Dead or Alive, Livin; On A Prayer, Never Say Goodbye, Lay Your Hands On Me, Bad Medicine, I'll Be There For You, Born To By My Baby, and Living In Sin.

I don’t even know how many times me and a couple of friends of mine went to see them in concert……they were the best and so much fun and the lead singer 🎤 Jon and the lead guitar 🎸 player Ritchie were our favorites 🥰❤️🥰……..very fun times…..we actually had some good seats for a lot of these 🎵 concerts and I almost got a guitar pick once from Ritchie ❤️
