Heartbreakingly magnificent! Powerful portrayal! Brutally honest in showcasing how war rages against a life of peace in all regions of the world. This video brings one to the brink of despair yet shows that life endures and hope lives on from generation to generation! Profound performance by Dimash and all those who participated in the artistry of this production! The first lyrics are so telling "Can't believe what is happening at all PIPER'S crazy, we are bound to fall" seems to me to relate to a Pied Piper leading others astray! Showing his immense grief going to his home and finding his household, his daughter all dead. As he dies his son is born. You see the baby wearing the mother's sign of love and life and then he is shown grown into the very image of his father wearing the same necklace walking toward a dawning new light! My soul cried! Dimash is amazingly gifted and has an understanding of love and life beyond his years!

The pendant is a solar watch. Notice "Pipers" gets bendt, so "no true north", no direction. Piper also covers the hole, so no light comes trough. Alina Veripya came too, and Dimash presented her to us, and told us how how brilliant he thinks she is. I really hope that Dimash will publish the official recording of the Almaty concert. The production was amazing, his performance of 'The Story Of One Sky' was stunning, and many of the popular songs were rearranged. Even 'Olimpico', one of his most "set in stone" songs, was performed differently (to the ear that knows his repertoire well)

Just trying to help you to understand the massage. That was his wife, and they had a little girl and were waiting for the son to born. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. Yes, you're right, the girl on the beach was his future wife. And she gave birth to her second child in the video. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. Desperation has led him to kill his former friend, he didn't know his wife survived. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man he unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. He composed this song for three years. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. The second boy becomes president and starts a war. The hero of Dimash is trying to save his family - his pregnant wife and daughter. Once home, he sees the murdered daughter and thinks that his wife also died. Dimash wants to avenge their deaths. But Dimash's wife survived with the help of people who know that she must give birth to a special boy who will save the world. These are people of different nationalities, religions and countries who have united for the sake of peace. Together they create a common energy in which the son of Dimash is born. At the end of the video, the adult son of Dimash unites all people and leads them to peace, light and love.

You notice that after Dimash kills the leader, he turns around and faces other soldiers. At that point, he could have raised his rifle and tried to shoot his way out, or just spray his bullets around in a final act of violence, but he just stands there. I'm very impressed with your interpretation of this video. A lot of people were not able to understand it like you do. The part where Dimash is going to get revenge on his ex-friend for killing his child you see the people who are walking into the light and peace and everything now is black and white and they are holding out their hands as if you say stop this isn't the way. And his actions resulted in leaving his wife without a husband and his new born child without a father. But on the other hand I see where he sacrificed his life for the future peace and safety of his family. It's a deep message. I have no doubt that Dimash has been sent here to help the world heal. I made the Imagine connection too but you're the only reactor thus far, who has mentioned it. There's more answers in the original video's description, too. Check out his Almaty performance of it....simply incredible. The man left all of his heart, his notes & his tears on the stage. After following him for some time now and hearing the pro-peace comments he made expressing anger, frustration, sadness over Ukraine at his Dubai, Dusseldorf and Prague concerts (and his FB posts at that time), and knowing One Sky was coming from his loving heart, I suspected it would be a pro-peace production from its title but none could intuit the incredibly spiritual pro-planet/antiwar art activism experience such as this profound, transcendental masterpiece. 🕉✡☪✝☸☯☮Let Love Lead 🌏🌎🌍

Watched several reactions and lot of comments but most are still thinking Dimash kill the leader for revenge. That is no what I read out of this story. The story is like that: Three children built a friendship in their childhood by life saving event. After they grow up, one of them becomes a leader and he started a war under "giving people a freedom" slogan. Dimash fights in that war under the order of the leader, his friend, he is brave as his leader called on his people, kill enemies without blinking of eyes. But when he found that the the daughter of his friends was also killed by this war, he realized that the war killed anyone no matter which side you are. He realized that the war must be stopped. He went back to see his leader, the childhood friend and killed him to stop the war but he was also killed by their enemy or May be his fellow soldiers. People are still killing each other without asking why, why we have the war and why we can't find peaceful way to solve problems. Here Dimash is asking everyone who watch the video. In regarding the religious piece, I think it portraits as human we must keep seeking the light for rightness. As Dimash was fighting in the war, he is also seeking that light. New borns arrive every day but humans repeat their tragedy again and again. At the end, he conveys the message that human still need to search the light of rightness. We still have long way to go.

Jesse, your reading on this is quite intuitive - even a bit amazing for a first viewing. There at the end, notice how the birthing mother placed the necklace on the newborn - then we go straight to what looks like Dimash - though he is dead - leading the exodus from the war area. My suggestion is he is the now-grown baby, Dimash's second child. Just a thought.

I think you didn't get really the point. Of course the only way for humanity and the whole world must be the vision of peace. Dimash does not ask whether revenge is understandable or justified (and in his case it is "okay"). It is about the seduction of people and nations under a symbol, an idea, which without love becomes tyrannical, ideological and destructive. It is a statement against war, but it is also a demand, an appeal to all governments and all people to treat each other with friendship and respect. There is no excuse for war and murder. And for letting children suffer and be murdered. Dimash shows the madness, all the craziness of war, its cruelties, the tragic. And religions, spirituality must help to move forward on the peaceful path. And not be the cause of war and suffering. This whole video is a call to peace so that humanity can live at all. For what I read about the story of the video... Dimash's wife was saved by strangers to have her baby, who is a special baby and will do good things for the world. It's a moving piece for sure and obviously DIMASH'S ❤️ vocals are just unbelievable as always. I'm wondering if the part where he sings. 'we have past the moment of imagine' is a reference to John Lennon's 'imagine'?...I agree with you..for the message to be clear and meaningful the video is imperative and makes it a bit impossible to dissect his voice because the 2 cannot be separated and the message from the video can't be ignored..I watched a reactor react to a live performance which I hadn't seen yet and I thought oh no I wish he had reacted to the video...but ....for vocal analysis the live performance is the only way I think and they changed the mix a bit in that they allowed his voice to have it's usual warm tamber as apposed to making it super clear in the video to stand out over all the explosions and sounds.

One thing I've noticed while watching reactors reactor to this video is this: the more you try to "fit what you see with your preconceptions" the more difficult it is to understand the message. One reactor was even encouraging and cheering the protagonist to shoot the "bad" guy in the face. I'm certain this is not the message Dimash wanted to convey. This film is designed to provoke, reaching deep inside oneself and pull out all the emotions that's been locked up.

The people walking in the desert are from different cultures and different religions and ethnicities, if you notice and they're the souls of the dead that Dimash eventually leads them into the light. You notice in the beginning you saw the word Requiem which means a Mass for the repose of the souls of the dead. An act or token of remembrance.

This is by far the best explaination I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral l compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/.../american-troops-move-through The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.

To me the heros are those that rise up and higher. Death is not the end so no need for revenge we refuse to be divided by even religions. None of the holy books call for murder. We each have to decide to strive to he peace . Anger is like having a hot coal in your mouth , to chew and swallow to our own death inside.

You are right. Should Dimash have killed the Piper? Should it be revenge, hatred and anger or should he have handled it differently. That's the dilemma. Should we fight back or hope for sense to prevail. Unfortunately as we see at present some leaders will slways take the aggresive stance so what is the answer. We still just want peace. We're choosing life and love but is that always enough? Life's complicated dilemma.

That was a message to the world and I think of each of us as well. Each individual can influence the small world in which he lives. I know it's a utopia, but if everyone did it, the world would change and the more we are, the bigger the wave we could create with it. It could just change everything in this world of ours. Spread love, live togetherness, fight hate with love not with counter-hate. And please, even though I'm on a high horse now, if war is declared, refuse, even if it puts your life in danger. Imagine it's war and nobody goes there. And also consider working in factories that make weapons. To flood the world from below with good. I no longer see any other chance for our world. Let's choose life, not death. Please share this video wherever you can and spread the message that each and every one of us can make the world a better place in our little community if everyone does that, everything changes. "We are all one, all shares a life on the same planet Earth but the end of the journey we all have to do alone as you are your own sheppard in the "valley of death" regardless of what religion you believe in." There are ancient and re-discouvered in a way thinking that we are all God and God is all of us. God can be anything and everything and anywhere both in time and place no matter religion but the idea is that we choose life and we choose to live on Earth that is suppose to be hardest trial and we keep living lives until we get transcended to unite with "The Oneness". If you have something "unfinished" you will keep the cycle going (Old souls) untill you can move on. We are all connected to everything around us, the land we walk, the air we breathe and eachother and even Earth and universe itself.
