He literally just sat there and described how his mom and her boyfriend set him up for $15,000 a year so he didn’t have to work during school, he’s getting almost a quarter of a million dollars from a trust and he got financial aid for college. He’s had almost no debt. Then he says “Since I was 18 I’ve been independent, I never relied on her financially”. Like what?? He sounds like one of those kids whose parents sacrifice everything to give them every opportunity and they go around bragging that they’re “self-made”.

I remember when I learned that my mom passed away I was extremely emotional - and then I alternated between numbness and sobbing for at least a few days. She died suddenly, but not from violence. I don't know how I would have been under those circumstances, but I definitely wouldn't be chuckling and chatting like this guy. He seemed almost cheerful. 😕 He is a psychopath.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s astounding how many evil people are out there among us. My dad was a terrible husband. Not a great dad either. He beat my mom regularly and physically abused my brothers as well. He was mostly just emotionally abusive to me but I really think that’s almost as bad. However, we had some good times too and I know he’s just sick because he grew up in an extremely violent home himself. My point is, many of us have had some trauma in our lives and we would still never consider hurting anyone. We would certainly never consider hurting our parents. Even if they were cruel to us. So, how can this guy do something so horrific to his own mother who cared for and loved him so much? He’s truly a psychopath I think.

Same goes for his Jeep - that was driven by the same bogeyman. That's what happened. 🤔🤨 ...and while he's about it, he isn't in the interview room either. Crimetastic's subtitles are literally god-tier. Every crime channel needs to plagiarize your format verbatim. It's so perfect, it's hard to convey how much we crime watchers appreciate it

He doesn’t seem to wonder where his once loved pet is and wasn’t phased when he saw the dog wandering down the road with a “stranger” let alone being at all sad about his mother’s murder. Doesn’t he even realise how suspicious his behaviour is !

was the interrogator the same as the detective? i felt they spilled the beans way too fast, even cut the guy when he was about to say something. Maybe they were convinced they had enough evidence but idk i would have let the guy wound himself up in his lies before revealing my cards

The dog is dead. One thing that's clear from this interrogation is when the monster enumerates things that "didn't" happen, these are precisely the things that did happen. Didn't need the money: needed the money. Didn't cuss at mom, turns out neighbors heard him. Etc. At one point he says, i didn't hurt the dog. It means, he hurt the dog. And given that he phrases his denials about killing his mom as "i didn't hurt my mom", hurt means killed.
