Ho visto i dati, oggi Luna Rossa come velocità media è stata di 0.5 nodi superiore ad American Magic, ha preso più vento, è entrata sulle boe sempre in velocità. Hanno regatato bene. La barca migliore ha vinto.

Dopo questo mese di regate abbiamo capito che Luna Rossa ha bisogno di tanti nodi per esprimere il meglio. Spero batta gli inglesi perché ho ancora 2 settimane di ferie da prendere quest'anno e vorrei assistere dal vivo ad una ipotetica sfida con i kiwi 😂

Noi abbiamo fatto meglio di altri anche se perdessimo la finale abbiamo portato il tricolore in alto anche grazie a Checco Bruni. Non cominciamo a fare quelli che pensano di sé stessi di non essere all'altezza perché è il modo migliore per non vincere. Grandi tutti! Anche il silent team che ha rimesso la barca a nuovo dopo la rottura. Guarda la delusione dei tifosi americani per essere usciti e gioisci di chi ti dà ancora speranza. Chiunque porti e rappresenti la nostra bandiera merita rispetto. At the top of both the 3rd and 5th leg, AM missed the port mark lay-line and had to put in an extra tack to get around the starboard top mark. That extra tack not only cost them time and distance, but also put them on the same side of the course as LR, which also happened to have less pressure than the other side. No split, and no pressure differential = impossible to catch up. If they had been able to make the port mark on both roundings, it would have been a closer race. Those two mistakes, plus the brief falling off the foils on the 4th leg, gave the race to LR. Congrats to LR for a near-perfect campaign. Even though I'm American, it's good to see two teams/countries in the LV final that have never won the AC before, Italy and UK. I hope one of them goes on to win it. Spread that AC love.

Purtroppo sono uno di quegli sfigati che non ha altra scelta che Italia 1 per seguire le regate di coppa America ( le seguo sempre, fin dal 1983 con Azzurra). Effettivamente Mino Taveri sarà anche umanamente simpatico, ma i suoi commenti mi hanno fatto consumare tutti i pantaloni che ho nell'armadio in mezzo alle gambe. Oltre ad essere portatore sano di sfiga, ha pure il bruttissimo vizio di parlare sopra agli interlocutori, con il risultato di non far capire nulla di ciò che si ascolta. Mino, te lo chiedo per favore, nelle prossime regate fai tesoro delle critiche che ti sono state mosse, avremo più chances di capire i dialoghi e, soprattutto, di portare a casa non dico cosa. 😂😂😂😂

Yeah, the Kiwi (Stephen McIver) is a bit annoying, (like the Todd Harris, baseball commentator drafted into the 2013 AC 2013 and now Sail GP commentary team). Would definitely be better if they stuck with sailors. Kenny Read is great, and on this campaign, Glen Ashby has been brilliant. Impartial fan of good sailing, and so knowledgeable about these particular boats

Do you remember the olden days of 5-0 blowouts in displacement monohulls? We had so many lead changes in this series. It was good racing! I'm not a huge fan of the 800V battery-powered ballasted foiler concept, but I have to admit, it has given good racing

8:37 so... this sequence is a complete 3D model, not an augmented reality one....... (rotation is possible only on 3D model, there's not a real camera that is flying this way...)
