What a REAL Social Media Marketing Interview Looks like |

This is what a real social media marketing interview looks like for me. I recently gave this interview for a startup for a social media manager intern position and I got the offer letter, and so I thought lemme share what the interview process looks like, what questions are asked, how should you respond, etc
Hope you learn from this video. I think it's important to stay confident in the interview and stay honest to the person that's taking the interview.

The part where he was consistently asking about "how will you identify this and that characteristic of the user and which mobile/OS the user uses?", he was probably trying to know whether you're aware of Google Analytics or not in an indirect manner.

Firstly Congrats on your presence of mind in the Interview. if you figured the answers reply me back but according to me there is only one answer to the BMW Question, All traditional marketing organization use SEC that is Socio Economy Code where customer is segregated on basis of locality like posh areas standard areas, average areas, to promote goods and services and in digital marketing we get it with analytics ..high value spenders, car enthusiast.. young entrepreneurs, leads from high end car dealers where customer pre own such segments cars and so on...

Even though he is confident still his hand shows little bit of nervousness. So this show everyone is nervous for event but you should believe in yourself and yes if you speak out loud about your skills with truth you will always be confident.

For the cosco ball question :- You could have given any number, still he can't argue... Because he didn't told you the volume of hall 😗😘

@@pranjal8707 these types of questions are called guestimates where the interviewer is not interested in the final number that you calculate rather he is interested in the approach that you take. In this instance you had to estimate the volume of an ordinary hall and volume of an ordinary ball. Then divide the volume of the hall by the volume of the hall. Again the idea is not to get to a perfect number rather to show your approach to the interviewer

For question part Ishan i think if there is something available to measure it will be easy.You can easily figure out dimensions of walls and then circumference of cosco balls using thread or something.Yeah but agree question was confusing.

Ishan, answer to that question about how you would target people to sell BMW cars could be like targeting people whose designation is an Entrepreneur or business, or people at certain positions at job like CEO, COO level,etc.. Using an iPad (have lidar senser), I can easily figure out the dimensions of the hall . Then will find out the volume of the ball. Divide both of them and the answer is the no. of balls can fit the hall

I don't know if it's visible but one might see what restaurants have the person 'checked in'. It's an important factor to see if the person's wealthy. Also, interest in sports and advanced videogames (liking team pages and buying tickets), can be an identifying factor to guess gender. Besides, the kind of movie a person enjoys can be a factor (not much helpful but additional)

For the cosco ball numbers. 😅😅 From my point of view I think that the answer should be like this what's an average hall volume and average volume of ball and then giving the number of cosco ball in range And if I were in your postion I would be completely blanked at that moment😅

The question on how many balls we can fit was a guesstimate question, we had to give an approach but Ishan treated it more like an engineering question and I totally understand why, he was in his first year and had freshly given competitive exams. So yeah!

For the Cosco ball one I think we can align lets say n1 number of ball along length of hall n2 for the breadth and n3 along height by this we can estimate the length breadth and height of the hall cause obvi we know diameter of ball that’s an easy approach I feel

Ig, you could put the balls in Hexagonal Closed Packing formation so you'll know that it's efficiency is 74%. That means if i say that volume of room is V1 and volume of each ball is V2, therefore I can write (76/100)×V1=N×V2, Where N is the no. Of balls present in the room. What the interviewer might have wanted to ask when he asked Ishan a specific no. For the volume of interstitial sites, was, the volume that is left out, i.e; (100-74)%=26% of the room

About the COSCO BALL question..... Lets say that this lecture hall has some things in it like benches and other physical things... U can actually compare the estimated dimensions of those things with the dimensions of the hall and come-up with a pretty close estimate of the volume... And from there its pretty easy....this should be the only way, how else could u come-up with numbers without any details..

People take action to solve there critical problem.. what is critical and what is not critical depends on each person view of sight. in general if you want to target specific gender , class of people think in there terms what they would feel as a problem ( for celebrates major problem is they want themselves kept different from crowd ). for un married women they like to attrct man, married women would like to see how quick she can adopt to family environment

That cosco ball questions was a guesstimate question and it has a proper approach towards it. But anyways, this question was never expected for a intership role.

Give him any no. For the cosco balls ....first off all he is not giving you the volume....if at all also he argues and give you the volume or say that your answer is wrong.....you can say that ...the lecture hall is not like cube ...or cuboid ...you can say the lecture hall has hexagonal ceiling and the walls are like parallelogram and then you can add....so my answer is correct......give him any no. like 5,20,366 or 10lacks ...I think he is trying to observe that if you had that estimation ...like if you say it 30 thousand or 50 thousand he would know that you have a low estimation...

For the cosco ball question You can put a cosco ball in a thin box whose all faces are touching the cosco ball (i think that it will be a square box) Then you can divide the volume of the lecture hall by the the volume of the box(in which ball is kept) and you will get exact number of balls I thinks this is one of the way to do it Let me know if i am correct..!!!

Ball don't have corners but yeah we can determine the distance between the balls by remaining area in a box and then we can divide the volume of the room by volume of tha ball and subtraction the remaining distance per ball(b/w 2 balls)

Heyy Ishan...Can you please tell me how you started learning all those things which you mentioned in the interview? How you worked with so many people? How you got the projects for 1st time? Like I want to atleast start somewhere but I still doubt myself that will I be able to di all this... Nice one Ishan, I think idea of providing info to the audience on what is being asked is good and very much informative ! But I believe each company have a NDA signed with interviewees so I hope recording it this way and sharing wouldn't be a good approach and they might sue a candidate.
