Thanks mythic for keeping this convo focused on the real issue with this loss, the lack of a defensive performance. Their performance in the ot’s last possession was embarrassing, it literally looked like they quit on the team as a unit. Without K1 we aren’t even in the position to try and win this game, and all fans want to do is blame him for the D’s failures. When Bryce young looks like a champ against you, that’s the D’s fault, not our qb’s. Even when K1 had time to throw there was no one open to throw to, and MHJ(Massively overly hyped junior) was an absolute non-factor in this game……again. This dude can’t play ball at the pro level.

@ people don’t want to believe it, that’s the issue. It’s easier to blame K1 because talking heads like Mike the Az sports fraud, Jonny from phnx, and others say K1 is the problem. If they dispute this notion they have to think for themselves, and they don’t want to. This was the most flawed 6-4 team I’ve seen. We won games yes, but not in sustainable manners. When it came to it this roster was closer to my prediction at the start of the season, a 6 win team, rather than the 9+ win team others were projecting. We were never a real playoff contender, or a threat to win the division; we won early via smoke, mirrors, and good fortune. It doesn’t help that our #4 overall pick plays ball like a udfa and is afraid of contact, has no heart, and makes marshmallows look hard.

Totally. Even if Kyler is not "the guy" long-term, allowing 36 to Carolina is inexcusable and not on him. Not only that, I watched him go through ALL of his reads multiple times and being forced to scramble or hit a check down. Our guys simply are not open. Is it talent? Scheme? Coaching? I don't know at this point, but picking up Kirk Cousins in the offseason instead of Kyler won't fix a thing. Kirk would absolutely get decimated behind our O line, especially when guys aren't getting open.
