Those elephant boots are awesome. The first thing I noticed, besides the beauty, was the width of the shaft. Brynna you scored a real winner. Those boots were definitely a great find. Way to go guys.

Thanks Carol! We were really excited about that her calf fit since that's been such a big issue in the past!

I found some double-h boots and corral boots at goodwill for 20 dollars each and they are beautiful. When you have a great eye you can find great items. Patience is key.

Pretty cool find man! Being relatively new to the channel and based in the UK I'm learning how hard it is to find quality cowboy boots. Keep up the great work 👌👌👌

I agree with Brenna on the ethical dilemma on exotic skins like elephant. But go for python, those bastards destroy the Everglades.

@JeremiahCraig4 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I can't I sold them. There are some folks in my FB boot group who have owned Capistranos longer than me though and it might be a good question to post there - facebook.com/groups/2250038558605117

Nice looking boots, it's great that they are perfect for Brynna. One day you'll find a nice pair of Elephant boots for yourself Jeremiah. I agree that all skins should be ethically and sustainability sourced. The leather might look good on a boot but it should never endanger the survival of a species.

I can't make peace with boots made of elephant skin. Officially elephants are classified as threatened though not endangered. However, three US states have banned the import of elephant leather, and of course the import of elephant ivory is illegal nationwide. What is the difference between ivory and skin when it causes the death of the animal? Elephants are still illegally poached as well as cruelly trophy hunted. I'm not maligning you for buying these boots--in fact I'm glad your wife shared her concerns about the ethical issues of wearing elephant boots, and I appreciate that, as you said, respected brands will acknowledge the source of exotic leathers like elephant. However, it bothers me greatly to see folks brag about their elephant boots on social media without acknowledging (or perhaps even being aware) of the ethical issues. There are just so many more types of leather for boots that don't pose such ethical problems.
@JeremiahCraig4 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It's a personal issue that should be thought about carefully before purchasing. As you said, there are many other boots which don't carry an ethical issue

I draw the line on elephant boots. Just the idea of someone would use the skin of these poor endangered animals to make boots makes me cringed.😨
@JeremiahCraig4 жыл бұрын
I totally understand. It makes sense not want to see the elephant used for boots
