@@stephenbell8349 yes of all those players you’ve mentioned it would be Bailey who I would get rid of if we had to loose a player or cash Bailey for me is a luxury plays when he wants to play couple of games & he’s out injured hasn’t been the same player since he signed his big new contract.Cash for me will always give you 100% but he’s another one who seems to be injured a lot but when he plays he does give us some outlet on the right.

Finally we got what we wanted, Kamara with Onana at the pivot with Tielemans at the 10 and Rogers off the left. Absolutely brilliant. Give Rogers some space to run and he is unstoppable - which he doesnt get playing central. Tielemans poty for me so far, just bossing it again. Just carving them apart through the middle again and again. Fifth in the Prem, fifth in CL, and I think we actually have under performed this season. Says a lot about how far we have come. Lets end the year on a positive and I am sure we will fight for top 4-5 again this season. UTV

really liked that starting 11. i remember thinking in the pre-season that Rogers and Duran (and Ramsey, if he could get fit) had potential to be a really strong partnership. more like that please. and we reach another level as a team when Kamara is in form. as you predicted in the starting lineup braodcast Luke, our midfield was too strong for them. great win. Those 1st 5 mins set the tone, right from kick off we looked right at it, they never really troubled our defence at all, if anything we nearly gifted them an odd chance playing out the back. Emery is just a world class tactician

I think with The Warehouse preliminary video that came out a couple of days ago, and with The Warehouse renovation expected to be finished by this time next year, I think that was a massive reason why the atmosphere at Villa Park was really good today, because not only does it give our fans much more of an enjoyment of a matchday experience for both home and away games, but it also gives our fans excitement for our long term future by the club generating a lot of revenue, and us becoming more of a self-sustainable football club, like the big 6 clubs. We were absolutely excellent against Man City today, and that along with the big game of it being Man City at Villa Park, and with the big improvement and game changer off the pitch with the imminent Warehouse renovation, it's a great time to be a Villa fan! More often than not, a victory over Man City would have needed to be an epic performance. It wasn't like that today, we completely controlled the game from the off. They offered nothing. We should have scored more, Morgan Rogers was unplayable 2nd half. After last week's capitulation, this was a very welcome return to winning ways. But we still found a way to concede!!!!! Brilliant win. I hope this result reminds fans to chill out and enjoy the ride. This might be the wildest EPL season on record! Very unpredictable from 2-15 so it makes no sense to read too much into a win or a loss. To be too high or too low. Teams can show bottom-third form for a stretch and then they look like they're CL level. UTV!

Every one will probably agree, us villa fans feel we haven't been as good and as consistent as we thought we'd be. Remember we went 8 games in all competitions without a win! Let's keep everything in perspective, dont get too despondent when we lose and not too carried away when we win. We were long overdue a performance like this. Kamata / Onouna - if memory serves we correct this was the first time they started a game together. You can see what they are capable of. With Konsa / Toures we had a solid base. Tielemans/Rogers/McGinn - worked there socks off and were exceptiomal in transition. Duran evidenced the clinival finisher he is, Digne/Cash played their part. Martinez pulled off a fantastic save from Foden early on and set the tone. I still think we are ahead of schedule, need to be sensible in Jan and bring in a couple of upgrades (i think Buendia, Bidace, need to be be sold and upgraded) to make the squad more competitive. In UE we trust, keep the faith.

You know what Luke … considering we haven’t really played at our best and been as consistent as we were last season … we’re still sitting 5th in the league 😂. I think we’re just starting to get things together . And I know other teams can say the same as this … but look where we’d be in the league if we’d have held on to leads we had ( Bournemouth , Forest etc … ) . Loved the balance of the team with Onana Kamara and Tielemans in there .. Rogers unplayable ! . And yes 😂😂… Unai is definitely watching ! … I think he has been for a while 😂. Consistency is still a little bit off but the last couple weeks has been better. Morgan was on fire. Duran is THE guy, he's just a natural finisher. Youri looked much better. Hopefully we can climb back up the table a bit more as keeping ourselves in that champions league place is imperative. No team is going to have a perfect season these days. There will be blips. The balance was there today, Duran and Rogers scared the life out of them when they went forward... really hard to stop. Tielmans was exceptional, Kamara and Onana played the double pivot to perfection today giving Tielmans that ability to play higher up and influence the play more. Follow up that now with "Another one" (with a slight French twang) and play like that again and go win the next one.

Very happy to get the win but geez when Foden scored I had that sinking feeling and thoughts of City 3-2 all over again. Wish we'd close out games better. Rogers is world class don't care what anyone says or thinks. Duran fully deserves to start over Watkins right now, his finishing is lethal. Tielemans and McGinn I thought were very good as well, better performances from them. Only thing to do now is to continue this improvement and we give ourselves a chance at top 4 again. UTV!

Superb performance. Rogers was unplayable. I feel like we'll need to be careful and rest him at some point (but hopefully not before we've seen the next few weeks out), but there's probably no one like him in the Premier League at the moment. I loved the system, which allowed Youri a bit more freedom. There's something to that and he was class. That pass...I've not seen a better one for Villa since the Dougie outside-of-the-boot assist a year or so back. I'd like to see us stick to this lineup in the next game. There's good physical balance with Onana and Bouba. It'll be tough against Newcastle as they've had our number of late. But like Spurs they flit between being excellent or just being torn to ribbons, so we can definitely get at them. And Duran. An absolute beast. It's not just the goals, but his all round play is much better this season.

Lots of 10s out there. Tielemans sometimes looks like a pro playing in a celebrity charity match, he just seems to have so much space and time and he made those Man City players look like z list celebrities. Rogers is great, plays like he's in the playground, running between players. Duran played the perfect CF role. Boubs and Onana were fantastic. McGinn ratting around. Cash hard a hard job, it was a good battle and Cash won. Konsa, Pau and Martinez were great.

The option to move into a 433 is a must for me. Any of the 3 midfielders could push forward if there was space without us being left exposed. Generally if one of the two midfielders gets forward we end up getting countered on. Never happened today

Felt like a proper unai performance... Teams been given fair I'd say critism this season but that was a fantastic performance.
