during this quarantine, I’ve been finding it really difficult to cope. Having a family member pass away and not being able to travel for their funeral, and struggling to get through my last year of high school, it’s been tough. My art teacher did the same thing to me, except she told me that I had an artist statement due the day after the due date, but all well ahaha. Anyways, I always feel at peace when I watch your videos, you have inspired me so much over the years I’ve been watching your videos, so thank you for the amazing content you post. Stay safe ❤️

seriously you motivate me so much, I watch your art videos since so long and when I see you drawing and your gorgeous paintings or prints, I feel the need to draw again. In this Video you draw with nip and ink and normally I hate painting with nip and ink but when I saw your painting it looks so relaxing to do the stripes. It remembered me of a painting I did in school where I also draw a lot of straight (or not so straight) lines. And now I’m super motivated to draw again, thank you jasmien 💗 Also with one of your last videos about doing workouts, it motivated me to do also one, and I never do sports. I didn’t do sport since 8 years and before I only did 3 years no that exhausted climbing so yeah. I knew he is a significant artist, but idk why but I thought only people in Europe know him - well I’m obviously wrong. Also my fav paining of him is „young hare“ (german: Feldhase)

Art Professor here who is teaching remotely... just wanted to say that you INSPIRE ME! I commend you for your studio efforts and humanness in this video. Studio classes online are such a difficult thing to navigate and we profs owe an enormous debt of gratitude to your patience and perseverance. This moment in time is beyond challenging for my students and they are all being such rockstars about it as well. People like y'all make my job the best job in the world, and I'm sure we will all get through this together. Be kind to yourself, and remember that -- as artists and humans -- we are not defined by constantly being prolific. It's what we do in-between that matters, too. During this traumatic time, it's more important than ever to forgive yourself for "not working hard enough" and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how big or small.
