I give glory to God for this teaching. This teaching can change peoples lives because it will take away the ignorance of us believers and will teach us that if God is bad like some preachers preach, that He allows suffering for a better purpose then we have noone to run to. Thank you for doing this video, it is an answer to my fervent prayers on this specific topic. Im forever grateful. Our Lord is good and loving and faithful 🎉

Hey Barry, your a great annointed teacher. I don't think your there yet on Job. Your correct, when you say he didn't have the revelation of the cross or the weapons of warfare we have today. The test was not on revelation, but on faith. When he finished he had greater revelation of God and greater faith. Keep up the good work.

I am truly grateful Barry thanks for taking time to explain this. There's alot of confusion out there about Job 1:21. We have sadly lost one of our pastors -died from being ill. I've shared this link with my church members who believe God sends calamity and they are quoting, "The Lord gives and He takes away" It grieves me to see how people perceive God yet He sent His only son to die for our sin and now we have this new life in Christ. I'm just hoping they won't reject me or the Truth I've just sent.

I am so very Blessed Barry! "After watching Andrew's teaching on Job, I rejoiced!! Thank you Jesus! I have been trying to explain for some time now to so many these truths. It is essential that a believer understand them and "see" that not only do both Job and Peter have important revelatory depths, but it is of equal importance that they understand "why" the enemy attacked Truly it is because" of their Heavenly down load This is why Jesus called a demon out from Peter,. Both were saved supernaturally ! The enemy saw this, remember Jesus was amazed ? Peter's revelations of the Lord were literally Heaven sent as was Job's minus the revelatory truths of Peter's time .t is but a vertical truth left unseen by the church, till now! Oh what a glorious day, to hear another in the body see and explain this so perfectly!!! I REJOICE! And Barry, what can I say but "Perfect" this is just "Perfect"! Glory be to God Almighty! My heart, God's best, in Jesus name may it be so!

James says: "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Paul says, "And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Trials will be part of living in a fallen world. But God is faithful to bring us out of them, as he also did with Job. Psalm 34 - "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all." I appreciate Barry's attempt at this but he should have brought up other NT passages.

Yes, much lack of understanding and poor exegesis in this video... It was off from the start.... God brought up Job... not satan. These things did not happen to Job because he feared them.... God rebuked Job and his friends except the one who remained humble before the Lord. Job repented because, among many things, he thought God had become his enemy and in the end "I have spoken of things too wonderful for me to understand." Job was considered righteous because he did walk humbly before God including following the understanding that at the time sacrifices did need to be made and he was erring on the side of caution. PLEASE Charis folks.... read through Job, test what is being said here, and listen to 3 other sources besides Charis and their affiliates on the explanation of the book of Job. God is Sovereign and he shows the redemptive story at the end of the age, through Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and restoration before God, in the book of Job...... nothing to do with covenants, fearful thoughts, or spiritual laws/legality.

Please let us all notice that immediately after Job's statement "Job 1:21 NKJV, "The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD .”, the Holy Spirit is careful to add (verse 22): "In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong." In other words, there was no sin to repent of in those particular words, neither was Job mistakenly blaming God. Compare with 11:59 onwards in the video.

We're so curious about why God has us at the congregation we're at; the pastor recently taught "God will burn your barley field" which is irritating, and also fasting moves heaven to attend to your situation but yesterday morning fasting crucifies your flesh, YOU can't MAKE God DO anything. What I have often heard talked about is the dialogue between God and Satan. Satan asks if he can test Job and God lets him. This has been the focus on most topics of conversation, not so much Job. And they simply have used this text to show that God allows all things and that Satan needs Gods permission. Then they have used this scripture to add to their point of Gods permitting and Gods sovereignty over death and life. ““The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.” I Samuel 2:6

In John 15 6, Jesus talked about whoever does not abide in Him will be thrown into the fire and will be burned. What does this verse mean? Even in the New Testament, there is still threats and killing. ( book of Revelation). I know jesus talked about non believers, but to me, this does not sound like the New Testament where Jesus died for our sins and forgivae 77 times 7. Even non believers need to be guided, loved unconditionally and forgiven. Jesus said where there is the sick, he comes to heal them. Non believers are sick spiritually, they need more help from God instead of being thrown into the fire. In the book of Job, God allowed Satan to hurt job to prove to Satan that Job loves God not because Job was blessed by God. God does not need Job to be hurt to prove something to Satan. Either it is old Testament or New Testament, I see lot of killing, punishment. I do not see total compassion, loving kindness, love your neighbors as yourselves. Thank you.

@matthewklassen8064 жыл бұрын
This is a little good teaching mixed with some terrible teaching. Job was not some ignorant bumbling fool who was declared righteous because he didn't have the law and therefore his wrong actions were not imputed too him. Adam knew right and wrong, Cain and Abel knew proper sacrifice. Mans wickedness was judged and punished right there. Not to mention the flood. Job was righteous above all others of that time. In the end God takes responsibility for everything done to Job. That is only the beginning of the clear error taught here. The clear ignorance of this teacher is that he has zero concept or understanding of the sovereignty of God nor the continuation of the curse that is still on creation, of which our physical man is still a part of. In fact Andrew Woomack the big boss of Charis outright denys Gods sovereignty. That's blasphemous! If you took the time to read this, please find some better teachers.

My daughter was healed. It is because the teachings of this ministry ushered into my heart an understanding of the Father through the Word. Jesus taught that good fruit comes from good trees. This ministry, despite disagreeing with your theology, bears good fruit. Why would you then try to cut it down?

Matthew, you making a judgement according to your understanding. Of course, God IS sovereign! And man has free will to chose. That's impossible to reconcile to our mind. Keep asking God's Holy Spirit to show you. Stay open to Him. He does lead us into all truth.

God is sovereign, but he also gave dominion of the earth to men. Since God is love, and love is freely given by definition, God’s will is not always done if man chooses not to do it. If God broke His own rules, the whole universe would implode.

Job is described in verse one - and his description does not change. In v. 6 - God speaks to Satan - who is one in a group. Immediately Satan makes you think in the wrong way. Job did not go through those suffering experiences. Job is telling us about what happens to a man who is disconnected from God. Job remains peaceful. Anyone dis- connected from God suffers. Job remains the smiling story-teller. Somebody say: "Smile!"
