Brian is the only comic I saw live that made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to have to leave. It was in San Francisco around 2000, and his set killed that room harder than anything you could imagine. People were banging tables and falling out of chairs. One of the most impressive performances I can even fathom.

Yeah, same. I've actually heard several comedians say he's their favorite, and others mention him in their top 5, or whatever. (IIRC - Norm Macdonald, Bill Burr and Jim Gaffigan are some that have mentioned him.) (Maybe also Seinfeld.) Brian is really amazing.

Kevin, I just enjoyed your book I Exaggerate. Your paintings are fabulous. You could have had a lengthy career as a portrait painter on fake streets of Disneyland. The sketches of plane travelers are fantastic. A similar thing happened to me when I went skydiving. It sounded like a machine gun firing when the chute opened and the bones in my back were popping from the sudden deceleration. Have had lower back issues ever since. I think if I would have been tensed and expecting it then I would have been fine. Forewarning for anyone planning on experiencing skydiving.
