I felt so confused after that. Does she look after him as...did she adopt him? Or just..a nanny? I've worked with several kids with special needs, for over years and never did I ever think to put their name on anything. Not even a whiteboard.

It depends on the situation of the family but my guess is that she's taking care of him during the day so that the parents can go to work or have a bit of free time. If you have disabeld children you have to take care of them almost 24/7 (depends on they're condition) so it's a huge help for the parents if someone can help out and take care of the kid

Yeah in hindsight I get it too, maybe peoples boundaries about tattoos also matter. I'm the kindof person to contemplate a new haircolour for 5 years and then goes for a dipdye so I can cut it off if I hate it.
