The trick is not to think of it in terms of view but instead in terms of impressions, you want your videos to be seen (not watched, seen) by as many people as possible so that people who are actually interested in the content would watch, you do that for about a month, then you'd have enough subscribers and people knowing to sustain your channel and you wouldn't need the fake views anymore. You just need to get known to kick start your channel, but the first view you get don't mean anything, they are simply ads, you could go without, it would take longer to get known but you'll get there. In the end it's the content that gets you consistent views.

Buying views is an interesting concept. I could maybe see doing it if the objective was to convert them to sales of something. Other than that, it's not a sustainable strategy, seeing as the viewers won't be returning. Return viewers only appear if you're delivering value, & if you have that, then instead of budgeting for more views you're investing your time into better thumbnails & titles.

@WorldOfJohn I mean picked by the algorithm. Many times I upload a short and beeep, dead, 0 views. When it doesn't receive views in the first 10 minutes, I set it "unlisted". I wait a pair of hours, or a day, and set it "public" again. Beeep, dead, 0 views. Repeat. Until it's picked by the algorithm and starts to get views quickly. I have the "show in subscription feed" unchecked, in order to not annoy people with my test-error.
