That backs up the statement: "The best weight loss diet is the one you can stick to." This makes perfect sense 👌

Hi Ben, really great video! I recently found your channel and your videos have been really informative and easy to understand. I think it's also important for us to remember that everyone's body is just different (illnesses, body type, food allergies, etc.) so what works for one person may not won't work for another. Or even when our own bodies go through changes like after a major surgery, we may need to adapt our diet and lifestyle choices to fit our new needs. Diet culture is REAL and it's sad to see people blindly following new fad diets promoted by influencers or for-profit companies without considering their own unique needs. I'm still struggling with finding what works best for me, but just listening to my body has been a great first step.

Brilliant video and I don't understand how you don't have more subs. Too honest? Also 'wank puffins' really made me laugh.

I've been into fitness for 30 years and have done every diet under the sun. I'm in decent shape for 49 as my 30 year old wife would confirm (we also have 2 kids..). What has worked for me since my late 30's is fasting, calorie counting with varied and wholesome foods combined with a daily steps target and resistance training 2-4 times per week. I don't count green or low calorie vegetables in my calorie allotment either, they are free and required for health reasons imo.

Hello Ben, I've been really enjoyed the Chanel, but it would be nice, if you also have a link in the description with the studies on which you are referring to. Thanks.

That is a question for an individual to ask themselves. As stated in the video, an outsider can never fully know someone else’s habits, motivation or devotion to a diet! For example, while OMAD may work for person A, it could lead person B to binge. That’s why he stated multiple times that the numbers don’t really matter; if someone isn’t capable of sticking to a diet, it will not work.

I'm fat as fuck, 336lbs. But I'm no longer focussing on fastest weight loss. Because I've failed at that entirely.

A starvation diet. If you consistently eat nothing, those pounds will just roll off like you wouldn't believe! And its free! Of course, this comes with the small matter of dying of starvation, but its a minor detail...

@@ak.8161 Any variation of intermittent fasting is good for fat loss, I prefer alternate day fasting so the cuts are shorter. 36 hour fasting window, 12 hour eating window. I eat in a surplus of about 300 calories on fed days and only lift on fed days. I also get fat adapted prior, and don't eat any carbs apart from some veggies during the cut. I supplement electrolytes and drink tons of water, and I usually lose about 7ish pounds of fat doing this, not counting water weight lost from depleting glycogen. Do your research on fat adaptation and fasting first.

@@Wayf4rer Unfortunately people with medically diagnosed insomnia like myself can't do intermittent fast . My sugar level drops at 2 or 3 AM. The people I have talked to that does intermittent fasting don't sleep well and have insomnia issues since they started fasting.

Yes you are so correct I started out doing tons of research I was recommended to read braggs fasting book and also Jason Fung how to fast correctly I started out small went back to home cooked meals no snacking water fruits and veggies ate twice a day for the first 6 months in 2018 I lost 47lbs I became focused on approving myself I walked 30 mins the first two weeks and each week I would increase it by 10 until I was walking 4 miles in 60 days no music I became n tune with nature and I must say I went from weighing 203lbs to weighing 137lbs in literally 18months and I have not gained any of it back . Weight loss starts within we must become 1 with ourselves that means love and approve of your self DONT focus on what’s going on around that have nothing to do with you drink water and no I didn’t do a diet I ate chicken beef and pasta occasionally but honestly the less I ate the less I got hungry
