Zimbabweans do have a traditional dress but it's just not very popular... People like the "Mapostori" are the last people who wear the traditional dress, in addition to the "ghemenzi" they wear there is also a male full body rob worn over the shoulder and the female version seen in mbuya nehandas photo with sekuru kaguvi... The colours vary but most common was Black- civilian White- civilian. (Any variation or combination of these two)-civilian Mucheka weretso: Red with the quarter square pattern.(used in religious ceremony to converse with ancestral spirits, as the pattern is ancient and was believed to put the wearer in a trance alobg with music) Ostrich feather hat: traditional Shona warrior headdress worn into battle.

Egypt is in Africa. The Arab language and Arabs aren't native to Africa so yeah makes senses that Arabs won't consider themselves African as they are not lol. Arabs basically colonized North Africa and brought Islam with them as Islam is not an African religion either. The black Nubians as well as other black populations who have been there for ages, and are native to the African continent, are very much African.

@@BlubberInJeKontx africa is not a race and arabic is just a language. arabs did not colonize africa because there were already more people in north africa than in arabia during the arab conquest of north africa and most egyptians did not adopt the arabic language before the 13th century nor islam before the 10th century.
@BlubberInJeKontx
@BlubberInJeKontx 9 ай бұрын
@@zombieat And WHO said it was a race zombieat? And I don't care about when the Arab language was adopted or any of that other stuff you said lol. Arabs are ruling that land now but aren't native to that land nor the continent. Just like all the other non-African groups that came before to that land and North Africa as a whole. Or do you want to rewrite history?? The Maghreb is AMAZIGH land and even these people will tell you they are "ARABIZED berbers" today. Why is that? Because Arabs went there and brought their language and their religion with them. To me that's basically colonized to you it might not be. But it's basic history.

The Southern African girls had so much in common. The Egyptian girl probably would have more in common with people from Sudan, Ethiopia, Chad, Islamic West Africa and of course the Arab world and the Middle Eastern countries. Northern Afria and Southern Africa are at two opposite end of the continent, there was a huge disconnect. Egypt is 3,000 miles away from Zimbabwe, meaning that it is closer to Sweden, India and China than it is to Zimbabwe. 😅I appreciate the edicational value of this video though.
