I was expecting John to break out into 🎶 clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am…stuck in the middle with you 🎶 Well done on your age grade and finish time Dawn. That’s one thing parkrun has introduced me to and that’s the age grade score. I like to put other race times in a calculator and see what I get. I like that it then gives you the equivalent times for other distances at the same age grade 🙂

Lol. Don't think John would break into song unless it was a Bob Dylan. 😂 Yes, age grading is a good way of keeping motivation and especially when pbs are long gone. I've always aimed for 80% or above when racing well. I can track how well I'm running each year through this method.

@@tworunningbrooms - my highest was 79.35 so very close but not quite the magic 80% 😊

Thank you! Yes, we were lucky with the weather yesterday as the forecast was for high winds. We just got a stiff breeze. 🙂

Really good to see you both again & awesome times for you both! Congratulations Dawn on a fantastic Age Grading. Thanks John as always for your in depth review of the course (even though I do know it like the back of my hand😅) But Great information for Newbies to Doddington. Also managed to view Andrew's video too which gave a different perspective of the day👍

Great times guys, it looks beautiful there. This location is often in the top 10 fastest runs of the week list for some speedy individual.

Yes a lot of Lincoln Wellington runners take part. One of the top clubs in the country.

Great Run! Our local parkrun only pulls around 40 runners. That looks like a huge community of runners!

Thank you. I think they get about 300... I expect you're a close community with low numbers. Which parkrun is this?

Also when you do your warm up stretches, do you do them before any running, or after your warm up run? Many thanks 😊
@tworunningbrooms Жыл бұрын
We do them after a 10-20 min jog to raise heart rate and body temperature. But first thing in the morning if running I might do some activation exercises like squats just to wake up my glutes. Many runners will do this first before jogging.
