In many societies throughout history, being plump or even obese was seen as a sign of prosperity, health, and beauty. This was particularly true in times and places where food scarcity was common. In Ancient Egypt: Plumpness was associated with wealth and high social status. In renaissance Europe, fuller figures were often idealized in art and considered attractive. In Africa, our societies have always considered being fat as a sign of good living and prosperity. When you compliment someone with the statement, "eeei, you have become fat", they will often smile and feel good about themselves. When you see a man walking around with pot-belly, we presume he is rich. And for our women, being fat has always been a hallmark of beauty to be pursued. It means "Kaba" will fit and look good on you. But now, the idea of fatness as a negative biological human quality only popped up recently in the western world. This was a propagation of the western medical establishment pushing something called “Diet Culture” in the 60s and 70s. Its counterpart is the idea that being thin, is an attribute of beauty. This too is a joint-propagation of the western cosmetic and fashion industry. Same thing was done with height and muscles. Most of our fathers had none of these, yet our moms fell in love with them. But looking at today, women's preferences(even in Africa) have been shifted so much towards these unnecessary male qualities that, such that a modern woman might outrightly reject a good guy who is short. Also look at what Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj pioneered. They polluted the male sexual preference with big butt addiction, now even African men are wallowing over "Nyash, Nyash Nyash" , and our women are dying over fake "Nyash". All these are toxic modern western ideals being actively exported everywhere, and they do it by first of all attaching negative feelings with certain words like FAT, racism, --phobias, ect. Uttering these words trigger their associated feelings in us, thus pushing us to behave the way they want us to behave - ANGRY. it's called MIND-CONTROL 101 Lets take back the power by switching off the feelings we've attached to these words. I love Y'all, Seth The Teacher.❤

Is there a possibility for you to please adjust your title to "Plus Size". Your presentation on her is exceptional however the title may be a little bit demeaning to her or others like her
@seththeteacherАй бұрын
👋Hi Gertrude, I understand your point perfectly, and looking into making some adjustments. However, your point is important, and I want to take some time to quickly teach on it for the benefit of all people. You see, words like fat, short, etc, have always had nothing to do with the word "ugly" . But now, the idea of fatness as a negative human quality only popped up recently in the western world. This was a propagation of the western medical establishment pushing something called "Diet Culture" in the 60s and 70s. Its counterpart is the idea that skinniness, is an attribute of beauty. This too is a joint-propagation of the western cosmetic and fashion industry. Getty, I love your good intention, but I feel we shouldn't allow western beauty standards to be exported forcefully unto our societies. Same thing was done with height and muscles. Most of our fathers had none of these, yet our moms fell in love with them. But looking at today, women's preferences(even in Africa) have been shifted so much towards these unnecessary male qualities that, a modern woman might outrightly reject a good guy who is short. Also look at what Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj did. They polluted the male sexual preference with big butt addiction, now even African men are wallowing over "Nyash, Nyash Nyash" , and our women are dying over fake "Nyash". All these are toxic western ideals being actively exported everywhere, and they do it by first of all attaching negative feelings with certain words like FAT, racism, --phobias, ect. Uttering these words trigger their associated feelings in us, thus pushing us to behave the way they want us to behave - anger. it's called MIND-CONTROL 101 Lets take back the power by switching off the feelings we've attached to these words. I love Y'all, Seth 💞💕

This is a common trait of some African people. They will shame you saaa even if you have made a good choice. They will say things to destroy your home. I wish them all the best in their union.

Good comment. Also, what many people have forgotten is that, maybe the husband is into women of that size. Taste comes in all variations.

Ghanaians always think about what's outside. Because she didn't do or have any artificials on her body, they think she's not beautiful. A happy woman makes a happy home. The man is happy and she's happy and they will have a beautiful home with peace of mind. God bless them. My question is, those talking by heart nu, imagine they are her and nobody marries them how will they feel.

@@seththeteacheror “plus size”. I’m considering the fact that even though she’s a jolly person, there might be a little part of her that might be heartbroken being described as “fat”
@seththeteacherАй бұрын
@@kiv_daniels Hi, being heartbroken for being called fat is a thing of the western society. In our part of the world-Africa, being fat is often seen as a biological virtue indicating beauty and good living. The majority of us feel good about being called that. Take heart, the bride is an African woman.🤍
@kiv_danielsАй бұрын
@@seththeteacher She’s an African but also a human being with emotions. Fat people don’t really like to be called fat even if they don’t show it. But it’s fine, we’re all entitled to our opinions, I just felt to draw your attention to that. Take heart as well, peace and love.
@albertinaaryittey79852 ай бұрын
Not necessary. Do you think the guy genuinely loves the woman if not for her wealth..? You are not the one to tell us whether the lady is good or not. Let the success of the marriage talk.
