In most cases, I also can’t write unless my space is clean. The balance I’m trying to find is how clean exactly it needs to be before I write, otherwise I’m doing a deep clean of the entire apartment and procrastinating the writing. 😅 Really enjoying our writing group of three and excited to see what we’ve all accomplished by the end of the year! 😊

I can write when there's clutter, but it's def easier to not have 'I need to clean up' in the back of my head while writing so relatively neat or clean (or...just the mess being, ahem, out of sight lol) is helpful. I'm glad the writing session with friends helped ('it's not perfect, but it's there' is such a great mentality and I def need to do better to keep that one in mind for myself)!

Out of sight out of mind is how I treat my mess sometimes 😅 Hope you'll be able to write imperfectly, and just get it down!

Beginnings are difficult. I feel like each project has at least one false start - you start too early, or too complicated, or the main character isn't active enough (that was my issue). Good luck with your second (?) draft! It's easier to continue than it is to start (though you wouldn't know from my writing progress recently OTL)

Beginnings are difficult and often daunting! Thank you for your words, right now I feel like my new beginning is a bit over complicated, but I guess that'll be what the later editing is for 😅 Thank you for the well wishes on my first (??) draft (I'm continuing what I wrote in NaNoWriMo but also rewriting it, maybe it is better to call it a second draft) Hope you can get some good writing progress in soon!!
