Jack I’m in my 50s and a university level educator. I have had so many adults enter our program in order to become teachers late in their lives. I’ve had students in their late 40s thru early 60s. People who were entering a 2nd even third profession. What they all had in common is deciding to go thru motions after high school because it’s what society and family expects. College, job, relationships, marriage, house, kids. They weren’t happy, in part because they weren’t doing what they truly wanted. But didn’t know what that was until later in life. I tell people all time. Your 20s are to get to know yourself. Who are you as a person? What matters to you? What are your values? That’s why gap years between high school and college or trade school is so important. It’s ok not to know what’s next at your age. You mentioned that living on the boat has become routine. Life on land, with the day to day of going to work, commuting to work, coming home to whatever responsibilities are there…. That’s routine. It can become monotonous for people. For far too many very little distinguishes one day from another. Give yourself some grace. Whether you continue with boat life or decide to stay on land for a while …Try not to put pressure on yourself to figure it out right away.

I'm 23 and I agree 100%. That is the best answer you could give to someone that is trying to figure out what he/she wants to do with his life. I spent 4 years in college, graduated, but now I realize that it didn't make me happier. What I want for now, is to try as much things as possible (including travelling far from mom and dad) and we'll see where this leads me to.

this is a good point. I am one of those who re-entered university in my 40s more than 20 years after my first degree. I was a stockbroker for 15 years, but now I`d rather read about the Roman Empire and learn how to read and write runes. Don`t stress, just keep learning and growing. There is not just one right path for you. You can make new paths or follow multiple. Some people get to work with their passion , but most have to work for money and realize themself in the freetime

Jack, I’m 69 years old and have changed my career 3 times and have been successful in all of them. Don’t pressure yourself to figure it all out at 20 years old. Life is like sailing in a way, strong winds, light winds, storms and a whole lot of pleasure on your journey. Go easy, have fun and know that if you are good to yourself and to the people around you everything will fall into place. Best wishes, Rob

Jack, I am 68 and the biggest piece of advice that I give to my children and grandchildren and their friends as they have all struggled through the time of their lives you are in now is this: trust your heart, don't listen to all the "logical" noise your brain is is sending you, it is just that, noise. don't compare yourself to others, really none of them have a clue either, no matter what it looks like from the outside. Your heart will tell you what is right for you. Open yourself to as many experiences as you possible can and eventually you find that something that you just cannot ignore, that is a passion. and that is the dream to follow. And somehow along that way you will find the people who will fill your life with joy.

As someone from your Dad's generation I say there is no rush. When young we think we need to do something and catch up and that we are being left behind, it's human nature. You are exactly where you need to be. What your parents have achieved took a lifetime. They have given you a head start in life and experiences that will help you throughout. You have to work at it, and I think you have the right mindset and openness but be patient. Don't just work for works sake find that niche, find that passion and you will be happier for it. You have 51K followers on KZbin. At your age most people have never left the US. If I was to give any advice, I would say to do some remote study course while traveling get some business class / certificates etc. and finance certificates. Look at understanding more about those areas. I hear your Dad's advice and trust me his words are wise. No Credit, work for what you want and don't work for Credit. Good luck and God bless to you and your family.

I’ll say this, buddy. You were raised on nature and adventure - and you know how to do social media; you don’t have to be constricted to a boat with your family to do that and even to make a living doing that. So I would say keep those things with you and there’s no limit to what you can do and experience. And keep Finn close.

Powerful and clear headed, that was. Love your honesty. We all go through it. And it doesn't stop. You think you have to sort it out now? You do. And again, like your own father, you will have to sort it again. But, having said that, I would point out this; think about what you are good at, think about what gives you pleasure in the doing of, think about the you that you would respect most. And don't think about the money - that will follow. That's the easy bit. You will go through this again and again. Most of us of have 3 or 4 different lives. I was landlord, then teacher, then filmmaker, then real estate agent. Each one was necessary for my development.

Surprise. You’re totally normal. It’s natural to want to spread your wings AND a complete complement to your family that you feel strong enough to WANT to. Maybe you could start by hopping off somewhere and working with teaching sailing or water sports? Like at a posh resort? Like a “gap year”.. Discovering what you don’t want to do, can lead you to what you DO want to do😁

I bet you , as well as your family could make a pretty good living doing these videos, these videos that you guys produce are a lot more impact ful than you realise, all it takes is the right person to come along and offer you the right movie deal, or some sort of ambassador/speaker/spokesperson job. Your a great guy, who was brought up by a great family. Trust your heart and your intuition. If you feel like bigger or greater things are out there then by all means go seize the moment and do what you desire. I have a feeling once you leave that boat with your family's support, you will be planning trips back to it to be back in paradise soon enough. It's a big world out there and ripe for the picking, stay smart and stick to your morals and you'll be fine. Can't wait to see what ya get into next brother. 💪

What a heart-felt video. You're entering adulthood after an amazing childhood. If you set out on your own, you can start your own travel videos with all of your experience you've gotten from your boat travels. Or maybe do research videos for science or production companies. There's a whole world of opportunities out there for you to choose from. But when you leave, keep very close to your siblings and your parents. When I left home, I became somewhat estranged from my family, not because I wanted to, but because we all lived in different areas of the country. Now, as a retired person, I'm still trying to catch up on what I missed. I regret not calling everyone regularly and planning vacations to see them. I just got caught up in working for a living and trying to survive. I'm sure that you and your siblings will do just fine as you progress into adulthood. Happy travels to you all.

We just saw our fourth child off to begin her life on the mainland. We live on a tiny island, and much like a boat, there’s not a lot of opportunities to launch one’s life here. She feels just like you, but we are confident that she will find her passion and forge her own unique path to success because we have given her the tools to stay grounded. Your parents gave you those same tools, we can clearly see it. So, when you get to America and slide into the river of life, you’ll be equipped to ride the rapids and avoid the whirlpools. Enjoy the wild ride! 🌺

Your father is such a great mentor. I’m the same age as your dad and I see how much you enjoy helping your dad. I know your a young man and want to do so much my son’s work and they have never been able to see everything you get to see. This whole time your dad has taught you to sail and work on the boat. You know how to change oil on very expensive diesel engines and maintenance that young people have not a clue. Your parents have showed you how to save money and do the right things with your money. You don’t have the influence of other kids my son is a recovering heroin addict at least you don’t have that in the middle of the ocean. I’ve watched your family for years and you have become a outstanding son and you have some great parents enjoy life with your parents cause when you come back to the states and you all get off that boat your going to miss it all I guarantee you.

Well Jack you are a serious one, but one of the most important things in life is : "to always do what you want to do, with your heart and never anything that is a chore, an obligation or a false ideal, because those things will weigh on your heart and slowly corrode your happiness and by default all those around you. Adhere to that simple philosophy and youll find life will be much more meaningful, as when we are honest with our selves, we are happy in ourselves.

This video came out exactly when I need it most. I'm also in my young 20s, I also travel the world, and live a very unconventional life. I feel so grateful I get to see different parts of the world every day but at the same time it becomes routine and you feel guilty asking for a 'normal' life and going through 'normal' 20 year old things. KZbin has helped me document and appreciate the places I travel to but at the same time raises a standard of trying to make your life look 'aesthetic enough' if that makes sense. I'm with you.. because finding out where you belong in the world is hard but I can't wait to follow your journey and see where you decide to take your life. sending you best wishes, we'll figure it out xx

Jack, I'm another old man (70) popping in with my opinion, so take it as you will. One thing I will say is that your parents have given you a gift 99.9% people will never have or even understand. Unlike most people, you have the opportunity to take the time and figure out what you love, what you want to contribute, how you want to live your life without having to do it under the pressure of just making a living. Don't worry about what you decise to do. As others have said, you will probably have to re-invent yourself several times in your life. It is very rare to find someone who has done only one thing their entire life. I will end with the oldest cliche about life and working; "find something you love and put your whole self into it and you won't work a day of your life". Go out there do your best and success will find you.

It's okey to compare your self to Others, but understand that life is you vs you, everyone one has his one battles in life. Don't pursue nothing, find your purpose. I suggest self improvement, become the best version of your self. Your path might be very lonely, You just need to be the guy who never gives up no matter what. Jack, one thing I can tell you and know for sure, you will be successful at whatever your heart desires. Your parents and the relationship you have with your brother and sisters is very special. Your parents have done something amazing taking you on this journey of life that we have all been part of. You are going through what everyone of us goes through, living in a boat and travelling the world certainly isn't a negative it's a huge PLUS. Iam 55, and have had some amazing jobs and one piece of advice I will give you is " do what your heart desires, what makes you happy" Don't ever think some hum drum 9-5 job is the answer. (Not saying you do) Do what makes you happy, take opportunities and remember life doesn't have to be too serious. Most of us go through life always asking the question what do I want. Your are 100% normal and hearing you share your feelings with the world, those of us who tune in and watch your adventures I have to say you have just earned so much more respect from us all.

As a parent of four kids, now ages 25-35, here are my undoubtedly imperfect observations. First, a varied travel experience over 7 years has educated you in ways that rival an academic experience. Probably even better. But you won't realize how much you've learned until you move on to your next phase and get the new perspective that inevitably comes with it. Second, even travel becomes routine and, after 7 years, and, after living under the same roof as your parents, it's time to strike out on your own. Third, It will be a trial and error process finding the right path. The saying goes it takes 10,000 hours of doing it to be become expert at something. The trick is to keep trying until you land on something that suits your needs. Good luck, Jack.

Hey Jack :) I'm famous for long letters. And since you don't really have a permanent mailbox I thought this was my best chance. This could not have come at a better timing. I turned 21 today and have spent the last 6 years diving deep in my thoughts. I am so introverted and such a deeper thinker that I feel like I skipped the 'I don't care' or 'reckless' side of being a teenager altogether. I was born in New Zealand, but my parents come from Germany. My first language is German actually but I spent most of my life in Australia and graduated at a Steiner school here. I have moved many times throughout my childhood and being bilingual has given me a lens through which I can see the world in 2 versions of life almost. As I graduated year 12, I spent a few months working at a cafe and partly online doing data analysis. I never had a dream of becoming something. I just wanted to be me. But man I had no idea how hard it was to just be, rather than become something like society (most of it anyway) sets as an example for us. I got really homesick for my European roots and have spent 10 months with my relatives since October last year and I'm so glad I did. While other people my age live 'typical' lives, going to uni, studying abroad, or even, on occasion, seeing people similar to my age travel the world and being bold, I couldn't for the life of me travel alone for a long period of time. I mean, I could, but my mind struggled. And somehow I ended up working full time as a marketing assistant remotely, landing back at 'home' in Australia with my parents and sisters, living life how it has always been but at the same time it doesn't feel like it will ever be the same again...and I'm feeling a new chapter shaping, no matter if I'm conscious of it or not. I have so many interests, like photography, travel, mindfulness, personal growth and gardening. I feel like there are so many lives to live that 1 life won't be enough. Sometimes the unspoken expectations of the majority of society whisper in my ear and I spiral into self-doubt. But that won't lead me anywhere. Even if it's 'comfortable' or 'will keep me safe'. I want to lead by example. Authenticity and living life at my pace is what I want. And a family. And it's hard admitting this because I've made it to 21, still living at home, never been on any dates or felt like I have become fully independent. Yet I have the most loving and patient family that I could ask for so I sometimes wonder how my mind can block me so stubbornly of the life I could be living. But I'll find a way. One step at a time. Maybe those steps aren't as lonely as I first believed them to be :) I guess what I'm trying to say is; Hi, I'm another soul that can relate so well with what you expressed and I wanted to share part of my story in case you see this and realise that you're not alone with walking a different path honest to you. Whatever that may look like. I think in the end, all that matters is that we live life that fulfils us. Do what makes you happy, even if it's a full plate of interests. Keep going with whatever gives you energy. Keep sharing. Keep growing. All the best from Australia, Hannah Endres

SO WELL SAID Jack !, I'm 61 and this picture of me is sailing in Hawaii in the 90's, I had no idea what I wanted to be at this point, I did want to be married to the girl I was with and we're still together. But, family has always been more important then things to me. My Uncle sparked my love of sailing. We would sail the short distance to Catalina Island off the shore of California, and on the return - he'd let me take control of the tiller "Just point toward that hill" He'd say and the few times I did at 9 -10 years old would be my last until this day in Hawaii off Lahaina, and to this day I regret not giving up... other less important things, for life on or near the water, if only on weekends. "What if all works out" Dream big like your parents, Love well like all of you and you'll find what your looking for - Go get your dreams !!!, Cheers, Scott

I have had many jobs in life, some I have pursued and some have been just to survive challenges in life for a short time to get us back on our feet. Sometimes it comes down to trying something out and seeing if it fits. Blessings to you and yours!

I really resonate with what you said at 4:14. I feel like it's a great privilege to be able to decide what we want to do with our lives, but having so many choices feels like both a blessing and a curse. The pressure to not choose wrong is immense. I think something that's reassuring is knowing that most people feel this way at 19, 20, 21, etc, but that we all inevitably figure it out. Looking forward to seeing what you decide!

Jack I’m only a couple years older than you & relate so much. I have been committed to a career since I was a kid, but I still feel as lost as you. It may seem like others have it figured out based on what you see online but we’re all the same. I’m confused & worried I’m making the wrong decisions for my future self. I try to focus on day to day happiness as the building blocks to a life I want to live. The world is your oyster & mine & I know you will feel so different in a year even if ‘nothing’ has changed, just as I’m sure you’ve felt every passing year this far into life. I hope you find inner peace & love & continue to be vulnerable in your journey. You’ll do great things simply by being your truest self everyday. i hope you are well. with love, Ave

My advice brother continue to travel and try new things until you find your passion. Once you find your passion you’ll know what you want out your life and sometimes that comes late. I didn’t really figure out who I was as a person until I was like 23 and found what my true passions are. That’s where happiness is. Don’t chase money, don’t chase lust, or material things. Chase experiences, and try new things until you find what makes you happy and everything else will fall in place. 💯 you have a head start on people your age believe it or not.

You have the two best mentors at your fingertips to fall back on if you ever have the need. One foot in front of the other and live life with no regrets. When you stumble, get up, dust your britches off, learn the lesson and move forward. Life is full of opportunities and roadblocks. Overcoming the roadblocks is what gives us strength to succeed. You’ve got the tools in your toolbox, it’s up to you to use them. Best wishes with whatever you do. You’re a humble young man

Some good advice in these comments. Enjoy whatever time you spend with your parents and siblings-they’re lucky to have you and you’re lucky to have them. You seem like a good guy, Jack-if you decide to explore life on your own a bit next, the people you encounter will be fortunate to have your life touch theirs. You don’t have to do any one thing for the rest of your life, either-you can try different things and live in different places over time if you want. Since you are a person who wants to help others, you’ll naturally find ways to do that wherever you go.

Listening to you just now, I flashed back to a twenty-year-old version of myself, and I had the same thoughts then as you just communicated now almost word for word. 20-year-old me was nervous because I wasn't following the plan that everyone else was, and I felt adrift. I didn't know what I wanted to do other than live in the moment. Being adrift worked out, because I found a path that led to another and another. Now I know that I've always been where I needed to be. You have a unique perspective; you and your family have done what a lot of other people dream about doing, keep doing what you are doing, and your talents and passions will choose a path forward.

I guarantee you its very rare for people of any age to truly have it all together. As an almost 18 year old that lives in Los Angeles and is prepping to go to college, not me nor any of my friends have it together. It might seem like we all know what we're doing from the outside but we're all struggling and just as confused as you so just know you're not alone. We're all stressed as hell about our futures even if I live on land and you live on a boat.

Hi Jack. Thanks for being so honest and brave to share this. I often tell my kids (18 and 19) that getting old is easy. Staying young, having fun and learn through play with a childish mindset is hard. Do not rush things. Try different stuff and it doesn’t matter if it takes 4 months or 4 years. Suddenly you know what you want to do. “It is easy to be like everybody else, it is hard to be yourself” quote: Theresa Smed

jack, in my 30's now and see a lot of your "struggles" I can speak for myself and say it took the better part of my 20's to find that purpose. don't feel any regret for your achievements. money makes the world go around, that's the hard truth. having something you're passionate about becoming a career is what you should strive for. you don't have to be a youtuber, you don't have to be a sailor. you don't have to take the "easy" route. don't be afraid to jump head first into whatever it is you find. put 200% into it. 100% at a "job" and 100% into your passion. pulling for you, you're blessed with your mindset at your age, and older you will recognize the blessings and lessons your parents have given you. and continue to nurture into your 20's. you only get one mom and dad bro

Your path might vary every day, but I think you have the perfect mindset for where you are in life. You're actually way smarter than most our age, and you know you're in control, even if your humility makes you want to say "I dunno". I think your dad would say "bull by the horns, Jack". ❤

Thank you for putting this so beautifully into words. This video came at a time in my life when I didn't know I needed it. I am also 20, and it is always a relief to know that other people out there are struggling with the same things. It makes you feel less alone, and the problems seem smaller. Theres something about realising we have completed two whole decades of our lives and are now adults makes everything seem much more serious. But really we have only been adults for two years and are still learning how to live. I feel like there is such pressure to get 'life' started and it's hard to remember that life is not a race and we don't always have to be embarking on some great endeavour. We don't need to achieve something to be valid in our humanness.

Hi Jack, I've been following your family's story for a long time. Your parents have done an outstanding job. Now you have grown up and I'm sure your parents are apprehensive, but they know this day had to come. They already seem to be planning for a day when it is just two of them on the boat. You are an outstanding sailor and they will feel the loss when you leave, but it has to happen. Plus, it will give Finn a chance to step up, just as you had the chance to step up when Anna left. I have a couple of pieces of advice. My first suggestion (as a high school educator whom has helped many kids through this transition and a parent of two grown up legends myself) would be to go and spend time with your older sister. She has negotiated this transition and she knows you probably better than anyone. Secondly, I am sure there are people with boats whom could use someone with your skills. Maybe sail on a different boat for a while. Finally (and this is pure caring Mum advice) As a dual American/Australian citizen with a lot of years on the planet, now is not the time to base yourself in the States. If I were counselling you, I think I would suggest you reach out to the podcast "Diary of a CEO". I know he is looking for video editors and you definitely have a good eye for content. London could be cool for a while! You got this.

I am in my 40s and still working it out. Like others have said there's no need to be in a rush to "get" certain things by a certain time. I know people who did get the relationship, house, kids etc who are NOT happy, but outwardly you would think they are. Social media is a "highlight" reel, people rarely share their real and genuine struggles. You could always take a "gap year" away from the boat, with the only aim being of experiencing some different things and see how it goes. As far as finances go I have found the "J Bravo" KZbin channel very educational, and something I wish I was taught in my 20s so I could manage my own money.

I'm 68 but I remember feeling very much as you do, in my 20's. People talk about it as though that is the best time of your life and in some ways it really is, but for most of us it is also a confusing time full of self doubt. I remember feeling like I was all grown up so therefore I should know what I wanted to do and be good at it. The thing is, at that age one has a great deal of potential but very limited experience. I can't offer much advice except to be patient with yourself and don't expect to get everything right the first time. Don't underestimate the roll of fate and good karma. Be positive and put out a positive message and things will tend to fall into place. Don't let failures bother you too much--everybody has them.

You are not alone! You are normal. I am 80. Your feelings are completely normal and have been for centuries. Times change, but human nature does not. Main thing is don't panic. Ride it out. You will land somewhere you like. Might be several changes, but it will work out. In the meantime, whatever you do to earn money, be good, and dedicated to what you do and go beyond what is expected. Ultimately people notice. There will be times when you feel screwed over but ultimately, someone will notice your dedication and will springboard you to something greater. Every job you are doing is the most important job in your life at the time. Treat it that way.

Seems the key is to figure out what you most enjoy doing, don't put a huge emphasis on making money. We all need money, but it should not be your top consideration. Give yourself room to figure out what you most enjoy doing and whether it could be a fulfilling career, whether it meets your criteria of contributing. And allow yourself to make many changes throughout your life. I finally found my passion at age 40 and made a huge change in careers. It's ok to stay on the boat too, if that is fulfilling to you. I am 74 and have been very lucky and found my passion in my teens. I know many very successful and happy people who did not find their passion until much latter in life. My son had 4 years of university and was still unsure about the details of his future. He enlisted in the military. That gave him some more time and different life experiences to find his passion. I have know way too many people who spent their lives chasing the all mighty dollar and were never truly happy. If you are happy the money will be enough. Best of luck finding your passion.

I left the US at 19 to travel Europe a fell in love with Italy. I finished my degree in the US and returned to Florence without a job because something told me I should be there. After 30 some years I am here with a wonderful husband I met shortly after arriving, two successful businesses and a beautiful home. I let my heart guide me and found I could make money doing what I love. Hi Jack! I remember feeling similarly. My son did, too. There is something about realizing the decade between 20 and 30 sets the trajectory for the rest of your life. I know you didn’t ask for my input. So ignore it if you like. What helped me was focusing on what was really important to me: deciding if there is a god or not. And if there is and if he really created this earth and all on it, including me, then I needed to know what he wanted for me. I needed to check in, even though I knew he lets us all choose. Speaking as an Executive Coach, you are truly in a great spot. The process for you is three fold. First, how, in the next year, will you define YOUR success? Don't look to other to answer this, but consider this from within. Second, how to you cross the waters from where you ate to where you want to be? And last, as you move forward with clarity on these "tasks" and where you want to share your gifts, the treasures of you life will be in front of you. I know this sounds very fuzzy, but it is. Keep in mind, you are so much further along than others. Side offer, when you get to the states, feel free to reach out, I would love to help you - it's just what I do. Stay safe out there.

Hi Jack! Really nice video. I'm currently 28, and I remember when I was 18 and I decided to move to another country, cause I was feeling stuck and into the "routine" of an average brazilian back the time. I'm living on my country n. 6 at this moment, and I'm still not sure what is the "future" the I want. Saving money with no plans (sometimes I ask myself, why I am saving this), or waking up with calendar clean and asking myself if I should "travel" or "do something interesting". The only piece of advise I can give you, as someone that recently crossed "early 20s", is to keep exposing yourself to new experiences, surround yourself with people that make you feel genuinely happy and never force yourself to do something you don't want to do, or only to please others. You don't need to decide your "future" at this moment (and maybe never), decide about your non-negotiables and foundations, then everything will start fall into place. Keep rocking!

hey Jack, as someone who just turned 21 & is feeling a lot of the same things I get what you saying. I am in a bit of a different situation. I'll be graduating college in about a month, and having to choose wether I want to move abroad, stay in the U.S., what job I want to try and get, etc. Point being though I think no matter what path you take whether traditional or not it's a cross road most people face at this point in their lives. I've been very in my head and stressing way too much as well and, the best thing I've learned so far while facing these worries/decision is to just trust in God. All we have control of is today and especially in times where there is near future change, that we have no idea what will even look like it's so important. Just focus on whatever you can do now & the rest will pan out. Lol it's a lot easier to say than do but again as someone facing this as well that's what I've been learning may help you as well.

Brother… you are worried over nothing. You actually ARE doing something with your life. You are an important member and leader in your awesome family. You are a VERY important member of the Zatara crew. It’s clear your Dad (as the Captain) really counts on you. All those skills will translate into whatever you decide to do in life. And you don’t need to put an arbitrary timeline on deciding your next move (by the time we get to the states). Zatara will likely still need a first mate and I know your family loves having your around because your not dependent on them… you are an important part of making all things Zatara work. Keep thinking, keep pondering and it will come to you in due time. Many people get so focused on their destination that they fail to enjoy the journey. Keep enjoying where you are and what you are doing. The next thing will become glaringly obvious when the time is right. That’s unsolicited advice from an old timer approaching is 65th trip around the sun. Fair winds and following seas brother!

The questions on which path to take in life really never end. They are the core questions that have been a mystery since time began. What is my purpose? What will make my life more fulfilling? You are a good person, smart and hard working - for these reasons your life will be blessed and those around you will be better for having spent time with you. I tell these same things to my son who turns 18 tomorrow.

bro there is no panic about all this! life is like a long hiking trail. You come to a fork in the trail , pick left or right then just do your best navigating as you go. There is too much pressure on people to 'pick' what they are doing. There's always going to be decisions to make, things to learn and paths to choose your whole life. From my perspective you are a super amazing person and you will carry that with you no matter what you end up doing. Try different things and your passion will find you.

I'm 34, I have a wife and 3 kids. I spent my teenage years as a drug addict, lost, and hopeless! I found Christ and my life changed forever. I felt like from that point I started living. I got to travel, meet people, and learn. From the time I found myself when I started living life came to me as I worked hard, loved people, and lived purposefully. I try to live this way now. Struggle makes us! never waste a good struggle. It will build you. For that purpose is my faith, Im a pastor and every day is an adventure because I live with a purpose not because I travel. This is just my story! Hope you find your purpose on this journey sir! best wishes! PS....Dont forget to have fun you might miss it!

Jack off topic but the song you picked for this video is so so so good, now for on topic, I’m 23 and still don’t really know what I’m doing with my life either! No one really knows what their doing, I think we’re all just trying to do the best we can and figure things out as we go. You never know what’s going to happen down the line. One day you’re clueless and then the next, things start making a little more sense. Just wanna let you know I believe in you and feeling all of those feelings is super normal!!! You’ll figure things out! :)

Jack don't sell yourself short. You have learned some great skills growing up on the boat. You are a very kind and compassionate person. I can totally see where your coming from. At some point you should leave the boat and your family and get out on your own. You will have to have a career, it doesn't always mean college. Don't get a job just to make money, find something that you enjoy doing for a career. I worked in the corporate environment for 38 years. The last 20 years I was a parttime educator at a college, this part of my life I really enjoyed. It gave me a purpose to help young people learn new skills. I am predicting that the trades will be the next big career. We need skilled people in this country, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, masons. These are skills that cannot be farmed out to other countries. Best of luck to you Jack.

Your future evolves ,don’t be afraid to fail. The best advice I got was this, whatever you end up doing do your best and the money will come. I’m in my fifties and I still don’t know what I want to do, but what I have done up until now has been the best I could do. To fulfill my desire to help and be reliable I became a Refrigeration mechanic on boats and ran my own business I enjoyed Engineering. Engineering job would be my advice to you but it is your choice. That is what makes life so great it’s yours to choose, go for it and don’t regret it.
