The neconomicon gave 2 extra Mana, so 2 uses of the ring of doom, so 2 damage for 3 arrows, so a total of 12 damage for 1 energy. He deals 90 damage already per energy. Upping it by 12 damage means the break even point is like 8 shots, which he never does. And after that it just gets more and more useless as the break even point shifts back with every use as the damage for a single shot increases, let alone if he adds more mana to the network. The only real benefit the Necro had was if two enemy got one shot with those extra 12 damage. So the Necro was rather useless in the build and he if "will click it" it'll cost him damage in the end.

Dumping the book was the right move. The book uses 1 energy for 16 damage increase, but that 1 energy deals 50+ damage already. Unless he got 4 extra energy, it’s worthless.
