hi, i love your vids. I am from Belgium and i am graduating high school in 3 years. I want to become pilot, and apply for CAE oxford Brussels after i have finished college. Im just always worried about the assessment program/selection program. I watched your video about it but for some reason it just scares me and i am scared that if, if i fail i will lose my dream of becoming pilot. It isn't an option for me but again , if. I know that i have a long way but these thoughts about my future keep me working at school and is the reason why i like school. My maths and physics are decent, do you recommend choosing more maths or more physics for next year? Thank you in advance, I love your motivation video's and your day in a life of a pilot video's keep up the work and know that for young admiring people like me you are a hero. Ps: does it bother pilots when coming in the cockpit to have a talk with the pilot, my dad once told me to do it but i didn't want to because i thought that its illegal or something haha, i thought it causes delays or something.

@@jmstm6748 I had about 1700 hours when I was hired at my first job at a regional airline. Around 7500 when hired at a legacy carrier. I believe it can vary quite a bit depending on carrier and industry demand.

The percentage of black people in the USA as a while is? That's right, 13%. Skin color is not discriminated against, you will do fine.

What advice can you give to someone like me that fear flying even though I fly frequently, I will fly with BA on Monday from Heathrow to Lagos.

You have nothing to fear, airline travel is many times safer than riding a car, and airline pilots are trained for any situation that might happen, the worst thing that can happen is turbulence, and if that happens, it is only a matter of time until you get through it, have a safe flight tomorrow!

I'm not really worried about COVID because the economy always goes up after it goes down, but I'm really worried if a pilots job might become automated, and they might lose their job. If the pilot's job becomes sitting at a desk in an office controlling the plane I would want to do that. Given my situation, I would start flying for an airline in 2030/2031, which means I would retire in about 2070. I feel kind of scared that the job might become fully automated and pilots might lose their job mid-career. :(( Can someone explain why this will or will not happen? Or why I won't or will lose my job? Thanks :((

You might want to give up on that, A380’s are a dying breed. It’s literally an overgrown A340 which is a quad A330. I would shoot for A330 or A350 flying as those will be around for the next 30 years.
