The monster in the final of season 1 was not Aang, it was the Sea spirit using Aang as a vessel to attack the fire nation. Also the ponny tail scene means that they are no longer part of the royal family

Yeah, Aang was just a conduit for the Ocean Spirits wrath.

Zuko will get his time to shine soon. It's part of the beauty of this show, the slow build.

Children Traumatized by their parent usually don't blame them, they put the blame on themselves and cling even more to their abusive parent love, It's sad but not uncommon.

at 8:22 you guys were talking about how aang was able to bend when the moon was killed, and I think I saw a long time ago online about how Aang was "fused" with the ocean spirit and was able to bend that way. And if you look at how he bends with the ocean spirit, it is all "push" and no "pull", i remember seeing how it was intentional how the bending was different at that time.

About the question about "how the avatars know that if they are killed during the Avatar State, the cycle stops" (btw, nice question), it will be answered... but not to Aang.... Maybe another Avatar will find the answer... in the future, you know...

Good question about how the avatars learned about their vulnerability in the avatar state. Never thought of that one. Also, they don't spell it out in the Chapter, but in the Book One finale when Aang destroys the Fire Navy fleet as a giant monster, it is a special circumstance caused by his being possessed by the vengeful ocean spirit.

Almost everything Fire Nation is Japan inspired. Even the Imperialism. Their armors looks like samurai, they value honor (at least Zuko, a lot), their duel name is also half Japanese. Agni means "fire" in Hindi and Kai means "clash" in Japanese.

Some of your questions will be resolved in the sequel: The Legend of Korra.

zuko's father is a psycho , remember the flashback from last season when we learned that he plotted to steal the crown from uncle Iroh . the guy is a douchebag and so is Azula his daughter , so it seems he doesn't like his son and prefers Azula , as the firelord he has the power to name his own heir (just like in real life kings can name any heir they want ) , the same way he wanted his father to change the succession in his favor .
