Well, it's that time. Let me get my tissues* again 😢 *again, for sleeping, you pervs 🤣 Commenting as I go: - That Seymour theme is soooooo good! Great job on that fight - Those Behemoth Kings and Malboros are soooo annoying! Glad you decided to just skip the 🤣 - That Jecht fight was quite good. Only three tries? That's a good record - The aeons 😭😭😭😭 I suggest you go back to the footage and read the help bar when you're fighting each of them, if you want to cry more 😢 - Yeah that Yu Yevon fight is very cheesy 🤣 - Aaaaand there we go. Crying again. 😭😭😭 - 1:41:26. That piano. That piano opens the waterworks. Every. Single. Time. So beautiful. So sad. I'll leave a more general review in another comment.

Man congrats on completing a top 3 game of all time for me. It influenced the book series I wrote/am writing, and still hits me. Thanks for sharing your experience I enjoyed being here a lot. If you’re looking for another fantastic game/series in between or after FF games I HIGHLY recommend the Mass Effect games. Another great story series. But I’m glad you enjoyed this one.

Thank you and youre most welcome! Mass Effect games are on my list, ive wanted to play them for a while! I'd like to get my FF games out the way first. 8, 9 and 13 at least! But i'd like to expand outside of FF one day!

@ if/when you do I’m happy to help be the “do this do that” to ensure most of the story is seen, without providing story spoilers. I’m helping my friend play through it now and enjoying h the whole process. It’s a game series that if you don’t get it right requires multiple play throughs. Which when they came out was fine because you had YEARS between games. You could dial things in the way you wanted. Now it’s not done with multiple play through cuz there’s just so. Much. Content.

Omg, I had no idea you could cheeze the Yu Yevon fight like that.

it made me laugh... y'all in the comments taught me some neat tricks through this play through and it paid off 😂

Congratulations, this is one of my favorites in the series. So glad you enjoyed the game. Since you are a fan of FF7 and FFX, there are several connections between the two worlds fans have noticed over the years. This is especially true after FF7 Rebirth being the most recent example. The song solo Aerith has in the Gold Saucer shows the Lifestream creating images of Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge as Aerith remembers. This is the exactly how the Farplane works except she's dancing. However, Aerith's dance is very similar to Yuna's sending dance which is also connections to sending souls. In FFX-2 There is a character named Shinra who recognizes the Farplane has enormous energy potential and could be used to power the cities of Spira's future. This was directly include by the FFX-2 creators to connect the worlds in a spiritual sense. There is also an easter egg of the FFX-2 character of Shinra as an adult in FF7 remake or rebirth in an old photograph of Shinra scientists. There are other connections but those were the big ones I remembered. It's not really confirmed by the creators but some fans speculate it's the same world. Also if you do watch the Eternal Calm and FFX-2 ending, you should watch all the endings for FFx-2. I think each one works as a good conclusion.

The Yu Yevon battle is a great final test of strategy at the end. If you try to just brute force it, you won't make much progress because of it's auto healing. The zombie strategy you used is by far the best one available, but indeed casting reflect is the common one most find on their first playthrough. There's a third great strategy that most first time playthroughs don't find is to use Kimarhi's overdrive to cast doom (or use a candlestick of life item on it), since the doom counter is only three turns for Yu Yevon. So once doom is inflicted, you just continue to pass your turn until Yu Yevon has three of it's own turns and then it immediately dies (and you can die because all your characters have infinite auto life).

I'll just copy this part of a comment I left elsewhere: "This story, after 24 years, still manages to convey all of what this pilgrimage was about. A pilgrimage full of joy, just as Yuna wanted it, full of love, friendship and trust. A pilgrimage full of growth, from Tidus evolving into the responsible hero he was supposed to become, to Wakka overcoming his prejudices, from Kimahri becoming a strong and wise Ronso to Yuna's resolve to save Spira even after abandoning the precepts, paralleling the growth Braska, Auron and Jecht experienced ten years before. But most of all, a pilgrimage full of loss. Wakka having to say goodbye to his new brother only a year after Chappu, Rikku having her Home taken away from her, Kimahri seeing all the Ronso erased by Seymour. And of course, Yuna and Tidus separating in this finale, which still makes me cry every single time, even after the dozens of times I played the game through the years. We spent the whole game worrying about Yuna and the final summoning, and when we find a solution to that, it's Tidus that has to go." Really enjoyed this playthrough, Kiza! Looking forward to seeing your reaction to the Eternal Calm short film and, why not, X-2.

Loved this. A lot of people don't realise that games do have messages. Its more than just a game, the stories are incredible. Wakka i really felt bad for. Not only did he lose his brother, but his whole beliefs were flushed down the toilet when he learned the truth...

Congratulations on completing FFX. I am really pleased with you. So what is your future plans, such as optional content? There are Dark Aeons to explore too.

thank yooooou - i think for now im going to move on, but i might do all that stuff on a second playthrough on the HD version. im excited to get started with 8 or 9!

Some people were upset that Tidius didn't say "I love you" back but in Japanese Yuna never said it. 😅 she said "thank you". Japanese people rarely use the phrase I love you, in their language it sounds to grandious. 😄 So her Thank you means a lot.

I was wondering that when i was editing - "TIDUS, WHY YOU NO SAY IT BACK" then i read up and seen the translation... but im glad she said "I love you". It was very fitting

I usually post this at the start of someone's playthrough, but I apparently didn't on yours. Here's the lyrics to Jecht's theme song, Otherworld: Go now, if you want it An otherworld awaits you Don't you give up on it You bite the hand that feeds you All alone, cold fields you wander Memories of it, cloud your sight Fills your dreams, disturbs your slumber Lost your way, a fallen knight Hold now, aim is steady An otherworld awaits you One thousand years, you ready? The otherworld, it takes you Go into the sand, and the dust, and the sky Go now, there's no better plan than to do or to die Free me, pray to the fayth, in the face of the light Feed me, fill me with sin, and get ready to fight You know you will, you know you will You know, you know, you know You know that you will You know, you know, you know You know that you will You know you will Fight, fight, fight Fight, fight, fight Fight, fight, fight Fight, fight, fight Hope dies and you wander The otherworld, it makes you Dreams, they rip asunder The otherworld, it hates you Free now, ride up on it Up to the heights, it takes you Go now, if you want it An otherworld awaits you

14/8/9/16/7/10 and 10-2/13/12 , i guess if i was gonna place them, 15 i disliked, glad you completed it though X=2 is fun though bit cheesey but i think its good for what it is especially a few certain parts xxxx
@KizaCreates27 күн бұрын
X-2 i might watch cutscenes. Heard the game itself is insanely cheesy but i should watch the endings. Going to have a wee think! Solid ranking you have there too!

The fight with Jecht is very difficult! This ending breaks me everytime, no matter how many times I've seen it 😭😭 I know you said you will maybe play FF9 next but will you be playing FF X-2 in the future? FF X-2 is a bit cheesy but it also gives a nice ending to the full FFX story. Personally I've had a break from FF games for a while now. I've been playing Stellar Blade and Black Myth Wukong, both was good action combat games with beautiful worlds and a decent story. With BMW it's easier to follow the story if you know the myth about Wukong and the journey to the west story. In both games I was missing the character development and interaction I'm used to from FF games though. Then I played Ghost of Tsushima, I've had this on my list of games to play for a long time and I finally did. This was an amazing game! wWhat a beautiful world and great story. During Christmas I've been re-playing an old favorite, Mass Effect Legendary Edition again. I'm still playing Mass Effect now since it's 3 games, but I will be wrapping it up in time for FF7 Rebirth release on PC 😄 If you have played Ghost of Tsushima and Mass Effect 1-3 (or Legendary Edition) you know what I mean, if not I can highly recommend them ☺

Still weighing up what to do with X-2. Wither i play or i just watch the cutscenes as ive been told the game itself is very cheesy but the ending is 100% worth watching. Steller Blade is on my list, there is just too many games and not enough time these days! Little FF break is worth it to go and play some other games! Mass Effect is another on the list... maybe when i finish up my FF run i'll start the Mass Effect games.
