Nikke is a story about overcoming impossible odds. As much as we like to joke about "Came for the butts, got depression", The situation in Nikke becomes increasingly hopeless the more you read into it. But then they hit you with moments like this 🙏🥹 I'm gonna feel so bad for all the new players who would either miss the Epilogue, or outright join right after the event ends and have to wait at least half a year for it to be back.

I am so glad that the game isn't just about the butts and boobas. The story, ost, the characters are all incredibly well written. The story is captivating and it makes u want more. Gosh I have enjoyed this anniversary. I can't recall how many times I have cried but man those tears were worth it 😭☺️

Hands down one of the best events ever. The story was perfectly written, the characters were all interesting and the OST's were just amazing. They really had me emotional asf during this entire event. If this were to ever get an anime, I'm binging that shi, frfr.

I have a small theory regarding the final memories added to the map Since finishing Story II, the map has become almost monochrome and Cinderella no longer speaks, as she is now in her indefinite slumber. The final memories never appeared as Crystals like the others before, only in glimpses as you pass through them, right? It is said that unconscious people can still hear and process sounds around them. My theory is this is Cinderella, while unconscious, is subconsciously hearing Abe's struggles in the waking world as she tries to protect her. 😭

While I agree with you 100%, this isn't really a theory. It's very apparent, the mini game makes this even clearer. Similar to how Red Shoes had zero subtlety in her villainy, horribly so. 😂 That being said, having the whole event actually take place within Graves coffin in Cinderellas mind makes for some amazing storytelling. Loved this event to pieces. 🤙

Grave/Abe bonding story episode 2 she name drops Siren Hansel and Gretel. As her friends. Showing she was able to remembers them. When after she got badly hurt. Even tho she says she doesn't know them from the dream memory. But deep down she did. And when she got fully fixed as Cinderella awake she remember there names Again

I love this event because of OverZone, Re:Dash and this one, Old Tales is by far the most hopeful. Still made us all cry tons, but it ended on such an amazing moment of hope for the future.

one thing thats insane to me that all the anniv event until now have their involvement in the current timeline with the main gang. which makes it more of a side movie that enhance the experience that explain stuff. except for last kingdom i guess, since that is more of a spin-off that happen together with the current event

Hey Luna, it was great to see you play through this. There is a theory floating round the interwebs that Gretel is "princess blue hair" next to "princess yellow eyes" (siren) with Alice and Ludmilla. This i think is quite plausible. The other part of the theory is that Hansel is Liberalio, the heretic. Which ngl would be kinda cool i guess, but also sad as she saw Cindy go through all that.

Had to have been The Queen, because Abe at the end states that the computer used to display only infinity mean the raptures were constantly being produced. I think when Cindy was sent flying, she detached the station successfully. Hence why the computer now displays a finite number😭

Man, I wish I could like Abe like most people. But my humanity first sensibilities just don't jive with her and most of what she did in the story to the point she almost soured me on the idea of getting Grave.

@@Joseph_Siri From part 1 and 2 of Old Tales, while yes, the main and obvious culprit for Cinderella's misfortunes is Red Shoes, if you actually pay attention to what everyone is saying and doing, and don't get suckered in by the feels, you realize Abe is basically at fault for half the issues Cinderella faced, in particular from the UFH+VTC/Central Government. It's almost like Abe is Baldy writer's representation of all the players that immediately default to humanity/government bad. Especially when, if we take them exactly as shown in the story, this is the least shady version of the Central Government we've seen thus far.

@@ShadowCalic I was just curious of your reasons, nothing personal. The UFH was entirely in their right the whole event, no disagreements there. Abe really did screw up at some points too, unsanctified creations of 2nd gen Grimms is wild, and the unwillingness to tell the others that they're wanted criminals until after a nights rest is just stupid. Personally, it still doesn't stop me from liking her character, I met her months ago back in February in story and since then she's been compelling. But to each their own I guess. ✌

@@ramikpark8387 I have a rather large wall-o'-text I've been building for her and the insane positions people take on what the UFH+VTC/Central Government's decisions were through Old Tales, as well as Abe's screw ups, but the main issue I could point at is her consistently refusing to cooperate with the Central Government even after they actually revived and repaired her and the rest of Old Tales squad after Cinderella beat them the second time at the end of part 1. Had she been willing to actually cooperate even a little they could have, for example, sussed out Red Shoes a lot earlier, saving everyone involved a massive head and heartache, or why not, actually helping defend the heretic lab as a demonstration to make their case that Cinderella is actually back.
