I was surprised that someone managed to fit a pole (and somehow use it without injuring themselves) into a 11m² apartment but then I remembered I have a small trampoline in my 10m² student dorm lol. Tours of small apartments are always so fascinating because they clearly show what kind of hobbies and lifestyle the inhabitants prioritize whether that's exercise equipment, plant babies, creative toilet paper arrangements or the big bed that fits two to three people ;) Bigger apartments are often a bit more about following trends or trying to impress visitors.

As someone from the US (west coast), Paris is pretty inexpensive in comparison which is surprising
@awsme9tyone3 жыл бұрын
It might have something to do with the salaries. One of my (french) friend living in LA earns approximately 40k$ more than me a year for the same kind of job (and the exact same level of studies). So rent seems less expensive here but we get paid less so at the end of the day I guess it’s the same. I could be wrong tho.
@kreativuntermdach73513 жыл бұрын
Yes, payment. We are living in germany, but close to Berlin which gets more expensive every year. My husband has a salary of somewhat over 40k €, which is quite good around here. Normal wages for average people are about 20-30k (1500-2500 per month are livable wages, though not very good). That would be laughable in the US, from what i am hearing. So, it would be better to compare how much percent of a wage goes off for rent.
