What?! Chipotle? So awesome. I've heard of and used finishing salt before but these flavoured ones sound brilliant.

I ordered the citron falksalt. any recommendations on which salts to use on Salmon?
@Nutritionicity5 жыл бұрын
How do you like the citron salt? There are so many great flavors, but I think the wild garlic or chipotle would be standouts for that pairing. :)

@@Nutritionicity I will. I've not found any of those sample packs yet, not in the stores I usually visit, but I found some of the same as you use in this video. The smoked sea salt flakes (Maldon) and some other brand's white flakes of sea salt ('handharvested from the oceans» according to the info on the box..;) I put it on some sliced tomatoes with chopped spinach leaves (spinach is one of my favourites!) and it sure added something to it, both estethically and to the taste, though I couldn't quite differ the smoked salt from the other. Not on tomatoes, anyway. I've just got hold of it, will test it out more, of course. Plus roam some supermarkets for those sample packs. I've got a feeling they're available locally where I live (Norway), just gotta find the right store. I btw found it interesting what you mention about ordinary table salts. I was aware table salt isn't particularly good for health and that one should not pour in too much of the stuff, but for any stupid reasons I have not paid attention to the fact processed salts lack minerals and stuff. Which I think is a good reason in itself to replace it with good alternatives like finishing salts. Thanks again, Jana! :)

Oh, spinach and tomato topped with the salt sounds divine! Perhaps you could try Amazon.com for the sample packs. That's where I purchased some of mine. Also, I believe Falksalt is manufatured in Sweden. Their website says the salts are available throughout Europe so perhaps you could find them locally, or they also sell them on their website. As to the lack of minerals in table salt I agree--almost no reason to use it and the finishing salts taste much better imho. :)

Thanks, Cathy!! They really do bring character. :) One of the companies (Falksalt USA) commented on the post for this video on my IG account and left a discount code for ordering from their website. Might help since you are planning on stocking up! :)
