Power airflow. No blades. Discover the engineering behind our fans are now up to 75% quieter.
Reducing the turbulence of high velocity air whilst retaining high performance is a challenge. Equipped with air multiplier technology our cooling fans have been developed and engineered to produce powerful airflow without blades and with less noise.
Reengineered airflow paths, an aerodynamic diffuser and a Helmholtz cavity mean that our machines are now up to 75% quieter.¹

You should try using Herschel-Quincke tubes. Way more efficient than Helmholtz resonators for taking out pure tones.

Hi Jon, it's Jack at Dyson. Herschel-Quincke tubes may be effective, but wouldn't fit into a compact footprint - so it’s not a practical solution for our Dyson Cool™ fans. Our acoustic engineers used a Helmholtz cavity which works at a frequency of 1000Hz, improving the quality of the sound by reducing unpleasant tones.

I wish Dyson would invent a Air Purifier that actually works at cleaning and purifying the air. Dyson would do it better than anyone

Hi Jonathan, it's Jack at Dyson. Here at Dyson HQ in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, UK, our team of engineers and scientists is hard at work developing the next generation of Dyson technology. We can't reveal our plans for future machines until we're ready to launch, but if you follow us at @dyson you'll be among the first to find out whenever we have new inventions to share!

@Dyson 2023 and you still ain't fixed the impellor whistle. All the tp07 and tp09 owners moan about it including me.

The graphic display on the laptop shows how the resonator is fairly narrow in band width, i take it that the other noise peak (right side of the display) in the sound wave that was not attenuated was not as unpleasant or noticeable to the ear?

I am interested in that too. I use mostly open sources like Blender, FreeCAD, DesignSpark, etc?

2024 Dyson purifiers still have an impeller whistle that starts after a couple of hours at mid speed they deny exists. Google will reveal its consistent design flaw and not a one off.

Great innovation but unfortunately conventional fan is less noisy and way cheaper.

but more risky. a blade can cut your fingers. but impeler is hide in the structure and cant do it.

@@slevinshafel9395 if you ever use a regular fan, you will notice the fan is enclosed in a case. Your fingers are not at risk at all.

my Am07 fan is making a high pitched noise on all settings.. and you can hear the motor spinning. on low settings the motor is making much more noise than the wind. i don't know if my unit is in bad shape because it was a gift from a deaf who upgraded. all i know is that the noise coming from the Am07 fan tower is too high pitched that i much prefer to turn it off. its out of warranty, so i can opening and check... which i did, but after cleaning the main impeller both sides i so nothing wrong. its like it is designed this way.. i couldn't remove the plate at the bottom described in this videoafter removing all screws it won't move. Can soneome post a solution fix for the high piched motor noise?

You may be better off using absorption technology, in other words try strategically placing foam rubber wrap around the motor being mindful to still allow cooling, perhaps perforated foam, use your imagination.
