First off I really enjoy your videos, thanks for that. Secondly I'm a little late but maybe this will still come through. is there a special reason why Black-Scholes model uses the cumulative normal distribution function in their calculations? Apart from the fact they probably ran their model through with all kinds of distributions and already existing data and came to the conclusion that it works best for this purpose. So basically I want to know if it's possible that someday somebody comes up with a model like Black-Scholes but with another distribution which ends up having better prediction capabilities?
