As a brand new PS VR2 owner that's only played a handful of games, I have to say No Man's Sky is my choice. It reminds me of how it felt to play Skyrim for the first time.

NMS ended up being the main reason to continue playing PSVR1. (Substance over style/ gameplay over graphics) It is way better on PSVR2. I loved RE8 and RE4 and Horizon and Hubris and the others, but each time they are done, I return to NMS. It really is a system seller in my opinion.

Loved jumping into VR this year with PSVR2. RE4, Village, GT7, NMS and the other games you gave awards to are indeed amazing. As amazing the other VR titles are, the hybrid games have been consistently blowing my mind. Here's to another amazing year for VR.

I pretty much own every game on the list, Your choices are spot on. For Me 2023 has been one of the best years for VR, mainly because of PSVR2. But there are so many haters of PSVR2, comparing it to quest and quest 2. PSVR2 is miles better that quest and IMO, the games available on it are either better than anything on quest or a better version than the quest version. Quest seems to be much more casual experiences rather than fully fledged immersive games. No mans sky has been an amazing come back for me, GT7 has taken over my life, Synapse just keeps me coming back and RE4 just WOW. I really think Meta got VR to take a side step, yes getting more adopters. But most of the got the head set used it for a bit and put it aside. I really hope PSVR 2 takes off more, it has the potential to reach millions and the power to bring fully immersive VR to the masses with actual AAA titles.

PSVR2 to Quest is Quality over Quantity. Both do their thing fine, but with limited hours for gaming, I want to best I can get- very happy with PSVR2 so far 😂

I just don't see how anything can be better than PSVR2 in terms of quality and immersion. Most of the games have damn near photo realistic graphics. The only real complaint for me is the mura, which I don't even see anymore unless it's an extremely dark scene and then I can see it. Watching someone's body get blown apart in Pavlov is about as close to real life as it gets. I haven't tried any other headsets but I can't imagine them being much better at this time.

@@EyeForKnowledge. I do agree, But I have own most major headsets. Quest 3 pancake lenses are so much better than the PSVR2. But graphical quality, colour vibrance and immersion is so much Better on PSVR2. But Quest 3 with a powerful gaming PC is insane, but cost a lot and requires loads of faff. None of this is a problem, the problem is Sony need to pull their finger out and at least announce some big hitter games. I think some of the best games have been hybrid ones, no mans sky & Re4 etc. a remoter of Horizon zero dawn with VR mod would be great, like re4 was. PSVR2 is getting a lot of negative press and went sell well until people have faith in the system.

@@linzkirk I think the biggest problem is people haven’t tried it. And most people who buys PS5’s can’t afford gaming PC’s. Which means they can’t afford to Just toss $600 on a VR headset unless they know it’ll be worth their money. I think it is right now. With GT7, RE, Pavlov, NMS, etc it’s got some pretty badass games. If we could get a kick ass flight sim and maybe a couple more AAA titles, I’d say it’s totally worth the entrance fee. If just 1/4 of the people who own PS5’s would try the thing, they’d buy it and put worries about game developers throwing their hat in are over. This Microsoft announcement coming next week sounds promising as well though.

@@EyeForKnowledge. Definitely a lot of the people that slag off PSVR2 have never tried it. If you own a PS5, the it's the same price pretty much for quest 3 . And you will have a PCVR level of VR without the faff. What i'm afraid of is if it doesn't get more adopters developers will feel its not worth developing for a small user base.

I have only had my PSVR2 for about two weeks now, and I'm still trying to get used to movement in games, unfortunately I am suffering motion sickness, so most of the games I've been playing are stationary games like Puzzerling Places, Crisis Brigade 2, Switchback, Zombieland and I'm loving Drums Rock, I have played some Walkabout Golf which I'm ok with as long as I don't turn too much, and played some Saints and Sinners (after taking travel sickness tablets). I like the VR experience and I'm hoping that I'll get used to the motion at some point.

Agreed on RE4. The knife play, the melee attacking, saving ammo, the ambiance, the clarity, the story, it has it all. It is truly a masterpiece. I just finished it yesterday and I'm going back through Village, then going back through 4 again. LOL. They're both just so good. Pavlov is truly another masterpiece. If only they could ban children playing it and screaming into the mic, it would be my daily driver for blowing off steam. But I instead just end up yelling at, and getting angry at all the squeakers and their rude crude juvenile remarks and jokes. Which 99..9% of the time reference their penis. I've heard such great things about No Mans Sky, and I bought it months ago. The only thing I have been able to do with it is fly from one planet to another and mine stuff. I know I'm missing something. Horizon is a very close second to RE4 for me. It's almost like Uncharted in VR. The gameplay and immersion are just truly breathtaking.

My top 3 vr games this year in no order are firewall zero hour (yes it's psvr1) Gran Turismo 7 and Resident evil 4. I could easily spend all next year with those 3 games. RE4 blew me away. Kind of expected after playing village. Breachers is really that good? Kind of scared me off because of Firewall Ultra and Sierra Squad. I wish there's a demo of it that we could try so could try and see if the game is really for us or not. nice video. looking forward to see one next year.

you’ll build tolerance over time. remember to take breaks whenever you feel sick!

Hey there. There are quite a few things that you can do to build yr "VR Legs". Don't rush into it. Take yr time. Play less active games at first. Take a break if you feel wobbly. @SlothMilk it differs in difficulty but and there's a learning curve (different classes, different skills) but none of it feels overwhelming. Seems like there's a bit for all levels of skill. The levels are Made so you're able to jump in and out whenever you want but it rewards those who stay the entire scenario

I’ve tried to play Pavlov but give up on how insanely (actually) impossible it is to reload new magazines. Even in the shooting range with no pressure and as much time as you like, attempt after attempt was made with increased frustration. If it wasn’t for this ridiculous fact then it wouldn’t be just sat idle in my collection gathering digital dust. 😢
