Or interesting places like Shelter (Starry) 😉, Budokan, Spiral Building, Museums, Art Galleries, ...

I'm in Tokyo right now and have been here for a week long vacation. I'm from America and let me tell you...Americans have NO style compared to the Japanese. I absolutely love people watching here in Tokyo when I'm walking around. A lot of people here are so well put together, neat, clean and stylish. A lot of people here take their appearance very seriously almost like an art form. I appreciate it so much and will be very sad to leave soon back to my city in Florida where almost no one stands out. I believe ones fashion is a reflection of their character and soul. Japan has a lot of both those things.

First of all, thank you for the interesting interviews and thank you to the interesting people who were interviewed. The most interesting aspect for me was in fact, hearing Japanese conversation about the subject of clothes and fashion! I thought the comments on how Korean "flashy" style, was currently "in vogue" was interesting to hear and no doubt a reflection of that nation's vibrant culture. Myself, I've always found the minimalist but tasteful, Japanese style (coincidentally the style Takashii prefers too), to be my favourite and another area of Japan I appreciate a lot. It was nice to hear UniGlo is considered a good choice. I also admire Muji for the same reason. Possibly there are other Japanese brands that promote a minimalist or tasteful aesthetic? For example, the small but tasteful detail in Sashiko 刺し子 , is for me to be understated but uplifting in effect.

Japanese play a lot with colours, textures and cuts, it is indeed exciting for anyone interested in fashion to visit Japan. I also like how people study the styles and history behind the items, understand the purpose and origin of said style and value it. See? I told you guys Japan is a fashion capital of the world. And TAKASHii, I love your personal style! It is sophisticated, but cool. I love the unique ways Japanese people express themselves; whether that's with fashion, art, or hobbies. As an American, I don't try to be Japanese, but I have purchased clothing from Harajuku many times and they're my favorite outfits. I especially like to get my pajamas from there. 😂 I really admired the girl in the video who made a shirt out of ties. I think I'll try that. Or maybe make a whole dress out of ties. 👔🪢👙

That Korean girl has actually express what I thought about Japanese and Korean fashion. Koreans are good in fashion but I've notice they follow a trend or their celebrities fashion which makes them all end up doing the same fashion. Like there's no individual distinctive. Meanwhile for Japanese everyone have their own style. You can differ them from one another. Sometimes Japanese fashion can be extreme and can only be done in Japan.

One thing I found interesting in Japan was the amount of "twinning." People out with their friends in exactly the same outfit. The contrast of conformity of men in suits, women in formal skirts, and students in uniform with some of the more out-there styles was really interesting to me too. Most everyone was way better dressed than where I'm from, though! Here most people wear t-shirts and either simple blue jeans, sweatpants, yoga pants, or even pajamas. Great video Takashii. Oh yeah, what's with all the people wearing heavy coats when it's 22C and sunny out or on a packed train full of body heat? I would die! lol

Hi, would you happen to know her name? EDIT: Nevermind, I found her in the comments. 류스펜나 (RYU'S PENNA)
I'm a 37 year old white man from the UK, music has influenced what I wear from about 12 years old. So lots of band tshirts and black clothes in general. As I've grown up I'm more into my favourite colours like Burgundy, Grey and still some black. I think its important to know what colours suit you as I went for years without caring until my 30's. It's also important to wear what you can afford, Im not rich so thats why I just bought a jumper from SUTSU and not BAPE. It's also important for me to attract the right woman and not someone too materialistic. On another note I think Japan has more of a pressure for you to buy fashionable items than the UK, especially in city areas anyway.
