You basically need to practice playing scales using the whole fretboard without stopping. Like if you were to start on F you play a regular scale to the F on the third string or the 3rd fret then keep going up the bass starting from the octave f to the next highest octave.

Theory is not difficult. The hard thing is rhythm. Phrasing. Make melodies with coherence and good taste. That moment when shoot a lick and then to run a scale in shredding sense... Its so heavy... Have you a kind of video like that?

when time for a phil i try what ever pattern working off the octave. hard to go out of key (sour notes).
