Y’all Taito prize figures be nice thoooo. Their Miku and Sonico are really quality. I try not to buy too many prize or Pop Up Parades cause I always envision myself to be surrounded by dynamic scale figures but sometimes I let one or two in the preorder list.

That's really true!!! Prize figures aren't perfect, but for the most part, they really do a great job of embodying your favorite character! As well as giving fans variants of outfits/concepts that are sometimes really awesome, but a little bit too much 😅

Yeah prize figures are perfect if you wanna start figure collecting. Affordable, doesn’t need much space and not that really bad. Some brands like taito have nice figures like Rem and Miku.

Also, check Good Smile's Pop Up Parade line. They are about $30-$40, but they are excellent for the price. Also, the EXQ and EPresto lines are amazing for the prices as well. I have a ton of prize figures because they have gotten way better with the manufacturing of them.

Definitely agree, for a beginner collector, try to go for prize figures first before going to scale figures. I also do a lot of unboxing figures in my channel. Mostly are prize figures :)

My experience with prize figures has been pretty great. They tend to have minor imperfections but I just end up repairing and repainting them which takes very little effort. Considering the price, they're pretty well made.

I think some prize figures are worth it. It depends, it is a case by case basis i would say, but there are some very nice and cool ones out there. Sad thing is that some people are trying to sell some of them at prices they are not worth. Good video, i like the subject, good idea.

ahh you're so sweet, thank you!! 😭 I'm a beginner as well to be honest and I'm sure I have much to learn. In terms of feeling more natural, I try to think that I'm talking to my friends when making videos! I ask myself, "what would my friend x want to know about this figure if they were interested?" I think that has helped me the most when it comes to relaxing and enjoying my time with filming :D Having a good quality camera is important but I think good lighting is more important in a way haha. Also trimming out all the dead space in editing helps with pacing!

I think the blister packaging depends on the brand. I think all my Taito figures have had blisters. I could be wrong lol I can't confirm because Prize figures I usually only keep the boxes to save space. Prize figures have definitely upped their game. Honestly there are some prize figures I like more then scales. They are so cute but dangerous because if you go on yahoo japan you can buy like 5 for 40 sometimes and I have to stop buying the rems.. lol

I have both the Freeing 1/4 Mai Sakurajima and the Aniplex 1/7 version. In my opinion, the Aniplex one is the better of the two figures. The 1/4 scale definitely has more presence but the Aniplex one is much more accurate to the anime and the quality is really good. It has a silky feel also. Try to get the Aniplex version if you want, what I think, is the best Mai Sakurajima figure so far.

I definitely think prize figures are worth collecting :) They may not be as detailed and perfect like scale figures, but they have their own charm nonetheless! 🥰💖 I actually enjoy collecting more prize figures than scales cause they make me less stressed if that makes any sense??? 😂 I'm always worried about my scaled figures breaking just by my own clumsiness or during shipment 😭😭😭 And also they're more inexpensive 🤧

IMO They're worth collecting for kids or teens. If you get one from crane games, the added emotional value might makes it worth collecting. Nevertheless, they certainly worth the money

A lot of prize figures are stepping up their game! They were "nice" for western standards already but now they are looking very detailed and nice for all standards! I have two of the three - Mai & Ruka. Taito makes good prize figures and, like you, I am not ready to spend big money on her FREEing B-style figure - Taito it is then. (^_^*) My only criticism of Ruka is that her face could’ve been better as I don’t think the figure looks like her in the anime/manga (yes, I understand - she’s only a prize figure).

Nowadays, Prize figures quality is great, off course $100-$150 figure is better but, quality is not worth in my opinion. For now, I probaly choice pop up parade if they have same series that I wanted instead of prize figure but, if the series only appear in prize figure, not in pop up parade I am still okay. Thought I miss the day that SHF or figma are in affordable price.

Prize/Pop-Up Parade figures are such a trap. They're so cheap individually that it makes you forget how much you've spent on figures. I recently did a tally of all my prize/Pop-Up Parade figure purchases and pre-orders these past six months and the total was well over $1000. Aiya! So I went ahead and ordered or pre-ordered several more :D They're a cheaper form of figure collecting/addiction!

haha daaang that is a lot of prize/pop up parade figures!! But it's so true, buying any type of figures can add up so quickly. That's how I am with my nendoroids right now haha. They're so small and cute and not terribly expensive, but it adds up! 😅

Very Nice info if you really wanna get into figure Collection and have desent chuck to invest but Honestly Not everyone has 100-300$ to spend on figures, God Bless Benpresto, Taito, Sega ajd more for making all these quality figures for so less, And Yes I also have Prize Figures collection and they are soo worth it, So if you are looking for a sign here it is.

for sure! for the price, I can't really fault the bases of prize figures though since they seem to focus on making the main figure look nice. Even some $100+ figures have boring bases like these which realllly sucks :(

Sega, Banpresto, and Taito make some good prize figures. Taito seems to be the best of the bunch, but the cost will be around the mid twenties to mid thirties

Sooo, I don't think I will ever be able to afford figure collecting as a hobby and I don't really want to, I much prefer to pump money into my manga and doujinshi collection... But dang, there's that ONE prize figure that's beckoning to me and I'm about to break. The fact that it looks pretty good while not being as quite as expensive as a scale... I think I just might. I mean it's just one figure, what are the chances that I'll fall down this rabbit hole and become addicted, right? :)

if you're not really into figures, I wouldn't think getting one prize figure is likely to get you to buy more haha. I'm not that into collecting manga and I have a small collection now, but I'm not tempted to keep buying unless I'm super interested in the series!

That packing job by Crunchyroll is not very good. All my orders from Japan are way better as are all packages from MFC members. Oh and Joanne, you are the best!

Yeah it seems they're pretty consistent with "put boxes in, put in air bag things, tape up" which isn't very secure. I've been really lucky that they come in great condition, but I'm sure that's not always the case. And no, you!! 😁

The "cute" box ends up in another "brown" box under storage, so, in the end... WHO CARES? The important thing is the figure, not where it comes. If the price gets cut due to a simpler box, that should be welcome. Everything's better than a bootleg (and the $x00 price tag for some of them is somewhat nonsense nowadays due to the market penetration in 202x)
