In Florida I lived on a bike. We used to wrap our bike frames in long stipps of used innertubes. It would hide the name, = for less theft. It also would prevent the paint from chipping when locking the bikes up against poles and walls.

Once stopped over at a camp site that had different size bath and washbasins without any plugs as holiday goers would "liberate" them as "souvenirs" ...so instead of buying plugs in the middle of no where I resorted to sacrifing some of my larger pieces of Ranger bands by cutting round pieces that could fit as a plug into those washbasins and baths....years later and we still use those very self made Ranger Band "plugs" that work like a charm!!!! ...best is if they go walkie walkies if we forget them in the ablutions we can just snip us another one .....no probs! ....lmao

Hi Johnny. Yep, I don't get it either. There's a very popular UK EDC site that sell them in bags. I do exactly the same and ask for them at my local bike store 😀 All that money I save goes on new EDC gear. Ciao buddy, have a great week

Well I liked it. I’m new to this EDC world. I carry a multi tool at work but never thought much of it. That and I love camping etc. We have a nearly 3 year old boy so after watching a few EDC videos I’ve got myself a pouch that I carry some small first aid items in with a Gerber Dime. I’m always looking for new ideas so will keep watching. Going to treat myself to a new belt after watching your review of one a week or so ago. I’m limiting my self to only a couple items a month otherwise I’ll have an angry wife. Thanks again for the videos 🤙

Put the tube over a Zippo and after you fill your Zippo insert put a freezer bag corner over the felt it help your fuel economy then you put the 1.5 inch tire tube over the Zippo lighter it helps evaporation makes it waterproof too !

It’s just a rubber tire I use since I made my bike tubeless years ago without knowing ranger bands are a thing… xD I even bound old tire around my lower downtube for general bumping protection and around the chain area to prevent chain slap scratching.

Just found your channel, great content, thank you! The Ranger Bands are also great and imho the best solution for carrying things vertically on the belt. A small piece will hold a can of Pepperspray for example nearly invisible, if your shirt isn't tucked into the trousers. A larger piece will hold a large folder or mtt comfortably in place.

The last and only known incident of a perfectly cut ranger band was in 1927 by Mr John McCrawley. He dedicated 16 years to the art and practiced for 16 hours a day. I'm not saying it's not possible, but you have to dedicate your life to it. The Japanese have the perfect term for it... "Wabi sabi" 🙌

29 inch diameter, 2 inch width Goodyear bicycle tube costs $7, or free at your local bicycle shop. They just throw them out anyway, you're kinda doing them a favor. That's a lot of ranger bands.
