Agree with the lack of depth of windows looking cheap. But this ties in with cheap homes constructed for the masses. The features you are talking about can only be incorporated in a nice custom home. It’s hopeless for the rest of us.

True, I feel like its optimal use of space to not have recessed windows in affordable mass housing, and it can only be incorporated in custom and expensive commercial projects in my opinion too.
