Didn't understand that Buyback decreases total number of shares... Because total number of shares should remain constant until & unless fresh issue or share split... Kindly make me understand the concept in detail... As far as I know, EPS & PE are considered based on all shares not just the shares traded or listed in stock market... Kindly make me correct if I'm wrong...

Yes But when company buyback their share then they don't with keep they are declared cancelled just to increase eps and pe of the company. It is done as when they give dividents so government charges high tax, so to make the people happy they buyback their share and cancel them hence share price increases also. Understood?

Mam but total number of shares of a company will be remain same after buyback Then how eps increases after a buyback Eg. if x company has 100 shares Out of 100 shares 30 shares are traded in market and remaining 70 are owned by company Suppose EPS is ₹5 And company buyback his 10 shares from open market , but Eps is till ₹5 Bcz total no. Of shares are same i.e 100 Then how eps increases😶 Plz plz pls mam answer me 🙏

No. Of outstanding shares is decreased bro, The shares which are bought back by company,their value is desolved and after averaging then Every shareholder will have greater equity( hissedari ) in company.
