The raining season is finally letting up, so people are now actually excited to leave home (most homes have white ceramic tiles which makes mud and dirt really apparent, so people opt to have food delivered during raining season). Have you ever been to Aeon mall or E-mart? They're both massive malls, and i feel like it's the closest thing to an IKEA in Viet Nam

It's weird seeing my local supermarket on KZbin. Lottemart is pretty good. Lotte is a Korean supermarket so it does carry a lot of Korean products. And the sushi sucks but the salmon sashimi is good. A case of poor rice & good fish. One thing that sucks about Lotte is that they change their display constantly. You wander around like a lost kid searching for fish sauce.

This might seem a funny question but it’s bothering me! I’ve been to Bali and planning returning next year, loved the culture, food and everything about it. I’ve always wanted to travel round Asia and Vietnam is a place we’re considering for Christmas, however as westerners I suppose people would call us, is it crazy that we can’t/don’t use chopsticks?!? Would that be okay in restaurants to not use them? From one point I want to respect their culture and trust me I’ve tried to use them, but at the same time I want to enjoy my meal more than I want to mess around trying to eat with chopsticks!
@littlesunshine2704 ай бұрын
At some places there will be spoon, fork, and chopsticks offered to you, usually a combination of the three. Not knowing how to use chopsticks won't get you strange look, but it will be inconvenient. In more established diners/restaurants, you can ask for knife and fork. But if you want to enjoy food on the roadside, in 'hole in the wall' establishments, etc. (which I believe is the true Vietnam experience), consider taking up using chopsticks, or bring with you a bunch of 'assisted' chopsticks (those with a spring at the end).
@baotrinh30522 ай бұрын
