Ive had the same idea with clavis but also had one for slashangemon where he dramatically thusts his sword out from within shakkoumons chest then dices his way out with those big sword arms like a storm of blades, sending shakkoumon shards flying at his foes. Both a digivolution sequence and a one time attack to show off.

If I remember correctly, there's a reference to ClavisAngemon line in the TCG. It starts with an armadillomon digging something, then we get Ankylomon smashing some bricks, then we get Shakkuomon organizing those stones into a temple and finally ClavisAngemon protecting the temple.

It is actually confirmed in the show that patamon and gatomon are indeed the reincarnated forms of ophanimon and serephimon they literally talk about it in the show and both have flashbacks to that time

They didn't even "reincarnate". Seraphimon was sealed and lost energy over time and devolved into Angemon and hopelessness gave birth to Devimon, Ophanimon was caught by remnant powers of Zeed and devolved and in turn became DarkKnightmon by corruption. So, sort of they were both just sealed away. It was the "warriors" that were reincarnated as themselves.

While I like the idea of putting Terriermon for the parallel lines, I definitely think Kudamon works better as a "holy" rookie. Plus seeing it turn into an angel instead of a Royal Knight would be kind of a cool twist. Maybe if there was a show based around the demon lords as main antagonists? I think you proposed something similar at some point but its 6 am local time and I'm not awake enough to remember 😅

I liked digiknow's adventure 02 reboot video that linked each of 7 holy digimon to the 02 partners specifically (gives a bit more meaning to them being "ancient digimon"): Seraphimon - patamon Ophanimon - gatomon Slashangemon - veemon Clavisangemon - armadillomon Valdurmon - hawkmon Cherubimon - willis' lopmon Rasielmon - meiko's meikoomon (though personally I'd want to find somewhere for wormmon)

While Lopmon is the Default Natural Line for Cherubimon, I think Wormmon could be the correct Rookie here, as Ken's was meant to use the Digi-Egg of Kindness - its Armor Digivolution Pucchimon could easily transition towards Cherubimon (Virtue), and the Theme of Kindness fits Cherubimon (Virtue)'s standing within the Three ArchAngels...

Yes a lot of people consider them the unofficial counter part of the demon lords but their not as Digimon hasn't even ever hinted at it and Karn also said they aren't while a lot of media and Digimon themselves have hinted the Olympus 12 are the Demon lords counter parts without actual confirming it but giving vague hints

I like this as a sort of unofficial/official counter to the demon lords. i also like slashangemon or clavisangemon being potential holy villains in an arc. Chaotic good villains are fun to work with.

Valdurmon being a huge bird and Clavis/Slash Angemon being associated with Shakkoumon gave me the impression the "spare" holy digimon were connected to the 02 partners. The flaw to this theory is that Veemon would have to evolve into the other angel (Ultra Angemon real) and Wormmon gets nothing. As usual.

Kendomon/ketomon line in digimon world 3 is my favorite but only because world 3 was my first digimon game but i do enjoy kendomon , dinohumon , Kyukimon to bladeangemon who am guessing is slashangemon but they just wanted to change blade to the action a blade does. Kyukimon does have a holy rod from Egyptian in its mouth so works as a holy digimon.

The Seraphimon and Ophanimon in the flashbacks are explicitly the present Patamon and Gatomon. Seraphimon was captured at the end of the war and kept corroded in darkness, being shown to be partially corrupted into ShadowSeraphimon before reverting to MagnaAngemon and then Angemon, with Devimon splitting off of him. I don't remember the specifics for Ophanimon, but she either died and her egg was corrupted to become SkullKnightmon or she was just corrupted into SkullKnightmon without being reborn.

I always felt the World 3 line for guardi/slashangemon was a good digivolution course. Kotemon starts as small monster with a wooden sword for sport, becomes Dinohyumon with dual macheties, Kyukimon with twin sycthes with wind powers, then becomes an angel with duo swords and blades for wings and feet. It's like they're becoming a more realized swordsman through each stage of digivolution.

I feel like the armadillomon and hawkmon could be rookies for ClavisAngemon and Valdurmon. Lopmon, Patamon, and Gatomon for Cherubimon, Seraphimon, and Ophanimon mon are given. Same for Meicoomon line for Rasielmon. BladeAngemon is the one im not positive on. I guess it could just be Veemon so its like all the 02 digimon (+meicoomon) are part of this group. XVeemon looks like it was trying to go some kind of holy route with those wings. Wormmon being excluded. But just have a deeper story to him. He's kinda more of an original tamer with that digivice. "The lost soldier" or something.

I remember when 2020 reboot first showed them, I was hoping the remaining Holy/Celestial Digimon would be the holy forms of the 02 cast if they continued the reboots with Adventure 02 reboot. Specifically Veemon into SlashAngemon, Armadillomon into ClavisAngemon, and Hawkmon in Valdurmon. With Ken and Wormmon being the outliers (as Digimon Emperor not getting a Holy Digimon makes sense but could earn a spot as the 8th Holy Digimon as thus a new true Wormmon Mega). Plus a reboot could work in Meiko and Willis as actual teammates in the second half of the reboot after Ken is redeemed and they need all the holy Digimon to deal with the ultimate threat sealed in the Dark Ocean or whatever

I like these lines. I thought of a somewhat different one for SlashAngemon though, namely Luxmon > Pidmon > HolyAngemon Priest Mode > SlashAngemon. It came to me because SlashAngemon is very weird for what the angel hierarchy is in the franchise, namely, the increasing number of wings for higher-ranked angels; SlashAngemon has only two despite being the commander of the Angel Army. This gives it a line that's fully made of two-winged angels, that's also why it uses Priest Mode over the normal HolyAngemon.

Slashangemon has never made sense as shakkoumons evo. Clavis definitely does tho. But I still have problems with any of them being related to armadillomon/ankilomon.

A bit suprised that ArkhaiAngemon, Pidomon or at the very least Luxmon aren't featured in any line here. I feel Luxmon would work well as a Rookie for the line through Knightmon to SlashAngemon for example. In general though, even with that I feel there's a clear lack of Holy-type Digimon especially on the Champion and Perfect level and a clear lack of variety.

While definitely both being part of a possible Patamon Digivolution Line, D'arcmon and HippoGryphomon didn't Canonically Exist as Genuine Digimon until After the Events that their Designs Debuted in: in _the Digimon Frontier Movie_ - where those Patamon-Eared Tamagotchi Accessories were Visual Cues to Clue in Viewers to the Fact they were both Disguises for the Evil Digimon Murmuxmon! After that, the Digital World Did what it Does with New Information, and Translated these Disguises into New Digimon Species to the Web of Digivolution...

My personal favorite evolution lines for these are: Wormmon>Stingmon>Jewelbermon>Slashangemon Hawkmon>Aquilamon>Hippogriffmon>Valdurmon Terriormon>Galgomon>GoldRapidmon>ClavisAngrmon And then you add the not included Armadillomon>Ankylomon>Shakkoumon>Dominimon Because they have the same wings and the whole line is bulky and armored or you could use knightmon here instead of shakkoumon if you don’t want to use the dna digivolution mons If you use these lines then all of the adventure 2 kids plus Willis make up the holy digimon other than Davis who in my mind his ulforceVeedramon is like their champion knight

Then one could go Kyukimon's route with mystical beasts with stuff like Youkomon into the original Kudamon/Renamon or even go all in on the blade motiff as a meme with Gazimon and Snimon but that's too far Also I really like the original Yatagaramon for Valdurmon from Survive since it has a Holy Ring while also possessing multiple wings

Honestly I thought it would be neat if the 7 holy digimon related to the 02 series partners. So Patamon Gatomon Lopmon Veemon Hawkmon Amadillomon and Meicoomon. It would be a nice way to tie these individuals to a sequel series. I had at one point hoped that the 2020 season was an opportunity for them to put more foreshadowing to whatever their version of 02 would be and fix the mess that is the wonderswan cannon, but then the series came out and it was just disappointing on so many levels. They even made melliniummon a huge deal but no Ryo.

ClavisAngemon is probably the best Mega for Shakkoumon. It's way better than Vikemon, that's for sure.
