Fun fact: in the Digimon Xros Wars manga, the royal knight Ulforceveedramon do show up as a ally to the Xros Heart team, it's heavily implied if not outright confirmed by him that he's Zeromaru because he make refference to his human partner, there's even a silhouette of V-tamer Taichi when he talk about him

I think for Craniamon, Darknightmon is a good pre-evo for it. Sorta like a purified evolution. And it fits that skull theme with the Cranium in his name. KaiserLeomon would be a nice preevo for Duftmon. And a hella left field throw, Nanimon into gankoomon.

It does kind of make sense that so many Royal Knights evolve from Knightmon. It's like these were the 'captains' of the different regiments defending key areas, parts or access points to Yggdrasil uplifted/elevated to mega level, and then making an organization with several other digimon who reached mega level on their own merits or journeys as the digital world expanded, to form the Royal Knights, together defending Yggdrasil.

For Duftmon/Leopardmon I think the recent card game set you mentioned kind of hinted the Mikemon might be a line for him. Along with Mihiramon (the Tiger Deva for those going "which one?") and I thought that was pretty interesting. So I guess the Rookie in THAT lineup would probably be a Salamon since it's like....all the Cat Digimons' default rookie. The other one from the card game that gave me a thought was Gankoomon; like you mentioned SkullMeramon was hinted at but a line and is what's in the Jesmon started deck, but what I thought would be interesting was Candlemon to Meramon, instead of SkullMeramon go Volcanomon for that big BOISTEROUS nature and then to Gankoomon.

I've always seen Volcanomon as a good ultimate for gankoomon mostly because of their connection in the card game. In BT6 they both appeared for the first time in the same colour and, with the exact same effect. Then in the Jesmon structure deck they both appear again

I definitely do love hearing about the existing lines in digimon, myself as well as many other fans get most of our knowledge from the anime so learning about it from you is so awesome! A cool counterpart for the royal knights would be royal beasts, since duftmon has a beast form and they have a dragon on the team lol, so an opposite team having all beasts except one humanoid digimon would be very fun

Alternate Royal knights forms would be great. Id like to see that. Id also like to see a custom evolution line for them though using custom art. I think you and your artists could come up with something great. Imagine a little baby omnimon based off the fusion of agumon and gabumon and he gets more and more omnimon like.

I think in Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth you could also digivolve Shakkoumon into Craniamon what I found interesting because Shakkoumon is based on a Dogu what is supposed to contain evil forces if I remember correctly, so maybe turning into Craniamon is all that evil energy sealed into Shakkoumon breaking out and turning into a new being

For Duftmon weirdly some cards in the TCG sorta imply Bastemon as a pre evo. It seems weird but it Duftmon has been stated to be partly based on Oscar from the anime 'Rose of Versailles" who is a woman that dresses like a man, so evolving from Bastemon does work as a fun option.

Whoa! I never realized how perfect of a rookie Rurimon is for Dynasmon! Like it just fits so well. I always thought it was weird the LordKnightmon (known to me first as Crusadermon) was so pink compared to Knightmon. Like theres nothing that makes me think that Knightmon is going to become super pink. A different line I like for Crusadermon is Cutemon to Sistermon Blanc to Awakened Sistermon Blanc then Crusadermon. Now idr is sistermon blanc is a champion or a rookie, but it works a champion in my head cannon so im going with that lol.

VS Royal Knights seems to imply that Salamon - Mikemon - Mihiramon - Leopardmon are their own line and I'm for it cos it not only distances Mikemon from Gatomon but it's funny that the bipedal aspect of Mikemon returns in Leopardmon but can be reverted to quadruped via Leopard Mode, also I've really been wanting to build a deck based around Mikemon and this is perfect.

6:10 In the Xros Wars manga, the UlforceVeedramon of the Royal knights is actually Zeromaru, as he speaks of his past with Taichi. The events of the manga also take into consideration all first five seasons of the Anime, so the Royal Knights might include a lot of familiar faces in that continuity.

I actually really like Dorugreymon/DORUguremon as a prevolution for Examon: Both are red dragons and both have the metallic rings/blades lining the edges of their wings. It's a really distinctive visual feature no other Digimon beyond those two have. I know Breakdramon and Slayerdramon is the "intended" prevolution(s), but I think DORUguremon makes way more visual sense and as you noted, Grademon works better as a Alphamon prevo then DORUguremon itself does.

To be fair Digimon can sometimes evolve into fusions without fusing with anyone but they'r power is reduced from that, while Grademon makes lot more sense to be Alphamon's prevo because that's it's intended prevo since day 1, but the X-evolution movie for some reason made it Dorugreymon so Bandai stuck with that, even tho Dorugreymon already has it's own intended mega with Dorugoramon...

Having videos like this is always nice because it´s a great mix of speculation and existing canon. Definitely hope you´ll do more videos like this, the Dark Masters and Olympos 12 ones. I would love to see you tackle the Death Generals/ "Big Death Stars" from XrosWars specifically, since I think they are cool, but overlooked group of Digimon. Though I am sure something like the Demon Lords would be more "crowd pleasing". Either way, can´t wait for more Digimon videos :D

Dynasmon is my favourite royal knight. I love the idea of the OG Wizardmon's spirit returning to Witchelny after death, his sacrifice offsetting him stealing the book. He earned the respect of Hexeblaumon and was granted an evolution to Ultimate as Mistymon. When MedievalDukemon loses it and slides into Megidramon, Mistymon is granted a further evolution to help stop him. When the dust settles, Dynasmon has been able to quell the beast. Megidramon, instead of returning to MedievalDukemon is transformed into the modern Gallantmon. Both of them end up being recruited by Imperialdramon to the Royal Knights soon after.

I used to think Gankoomon was a Cyberdramon evolution, being in black rubber suits, and the spirit being a Milleniummon reference. After reading the lore on him a bit a few months ago I was considering maybe Nanimon should be in his line somewhere. He might also be a fusion of two mega's but I could never figure out which ones. Also you forgot Raptordramon as part of the Alphamon line, but a video on the intersection of Alphamon's lines might be needed, with Gaiomon, Ouryumon, Dorugoramon and DeathXmon all being slide megas and Gaiomon DNA digivolving with Kahazumon to make an Omnimon variant. In my personal headcannon its Alphamon, Grademon, Raptordramon, and Ryudamon. Yggrasil then kidnaps him, and fuses him with Dorugoramon and he goes all the way back down to a Dorumon. In the movie notice he is completely confused about his body, the line is new to him. Grademon is also a good bridge between Magnamon and XVeemon.

Gaiomon is related to Alphamon? Wut? That makes no sense- Gaiomon is explicitly a Greymon-species digimon, and more specifically it was originally intended to be an X-Antibody variation of BlackWarGreymon. And jogressing with Kuzuhamon- you're not talking about Next Order, are you? Admittedly, in that game you _could_ get an Alter-B by jogressing Kuzuhamon and Gaiomon, but this was likely done for story relevance as otherwise the only relationship that Gaiomon and Kuzuhamon have to Alter-B is that their plot alongside Shoma (who was possessed by Analogman) was to corrupt Zwart D and force it to evolve. I'm also hesitant because the same evolution can also be achieved by jogressing an OmegaShoutmon and Arresterdramon.

@@Zayelion Not really a slide evo of Alphamon, though, that's not what a Slide Evolution means. It's an alternate Mega for DORUguremon. Also, no he hasn't. DORUguremon *has only ever been able to evolve into Gaiomon in Digimon ReArise.* Even in Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory (the most recent game where both species appeared), DORUguremon _was unable_ to evolve into Gaiomon (it instead became Alphamon, DORUgoramon, Sleipmon or Breakdramon), whereas Gaiomon came from the three Greymon-type Ultimates (MetalGreymon, MetalGreymon Virus and RizeGreymon) and Hisyaryumon.

I do love you mentioned aspects of evolution vanishing and coming back, I worked that into my "Personal Partner." Line of Kuramon > Tsumemon > Tsukaimon > Devidramon > Mephistomon > Belphemon SM > Belphemon RM. I feel the line flows well into each other, but you've got the somewhat dark Mystical beast of Tsukaimon, turning into a very beastly Devidramon, turning into the more mystical Mephistomon, and having a Mega that, in a way, splits the different on mode changes. I'm also glad that Beelzemon is such a staple, or using a deadly sin would feel... weird.

Great video! I actually really enjoyed the unique lines, some of these were ones I haven't thought of myself. I often use Flamedramon and Raidramon as "Ultimates" of Magnamon with ExVeemon below them cause some games like Dawn/Dusk treat them that way, and I typically go Meramon line for Gankoomon, but the monkey line here I honestly love. I'd love a take on this but for the Demon Lords, I mean, we do have an Olympos XII one too. And an alternate Royal Knights is absolutely a welcome video, would love the hell out of that.

This is a good one, love the suggested changes to existing lines and entirely new ones. I think my favorites are Pawnchessmon white as the rookie to Lordknightmon and the full line for Craniamon, Mekanorimon deserves to be more than a vehicle and looks more like Andromon than Guardromon (though now I wonder should the line look more like something continually enhancing itself). Alternates for all the Royal Knights would be a cool video.

😂Even after you argued so passionately for Gokuwmon, SuperStarmon to Gankoomon is an digivolution i would LOVE to see. For some reason, to me they look SUPER good next to each other. Even if it's probably not true, I like to think UlforceVeedramon's Rookie is Veemon just because it's really funny to me that Veemon can, if you include their founder/inspiration Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, straight up become three different royal knights. Lil blue homeboy is just three of the Royal knights in a trench coat.

Love the Gankoomon evo line so much. Also for Alphamon, i recall reading a giant poster that collated the X antibody tales together and Dorumon does the normal line to Dorugreymon but then becomes Dorugoramon before DeathXmon happens. But in that state he reverts and starts again from Dorumon, going to Raptordramon then to Grademon and finally Alphamon. So i think there's two defined routes to Alpha unless what I read was wrong 😅

The Death -X data gets yanked out by Yggdrasil and sent to the layer of the future where it becomes Death-X-mon. Without the Death-X data Dorumon goes on to become Alphamon.

Even before BT13, I've been putting Mihiramon as the ultimate for Duftmon/Leopardmon. Both are cats with wings that serve as tacticians for their respective groups. Mihiramon being in BT13 cemented that for me, with Salamon->Mikemon->Mihiramon->Duftmon seeming to be designed to work together

I love Monmon for this line and I don't know by but my heart immediately went to Flamemon as the rookie. Sort of the bookend you did with Dynasmon. Lil man with a fiery aura to a big man with a fiery stand

Very cool lines!!! I especially like the Gankoomon line idea. one idea I had for Craniummon was to have him evolve from DarkKnightmon and SkullKnightmon, both for the skull motif, and similar weapons, plus the idea of a black knight redeemed to become a royal knight

Glad you did this and I hope you do ones for the 7 deadly sins and Olympus 12. As for some comments. For the Dynasmon, I have looked into it and even the card game suggests the rookie is Tapirmon. Though, I wish it had a more human form or dragon with sword. The reason being Dynasmon' line could be seen as a parallel to Dia from Dragon Quest. He starts off as swordsman, becomes a little bit of magic user, before combining both, and finally becoming his true form a dragon knight. As far as knightmon becoming having access to three different royal knights, it is representative of real knights during medieval area. Knights either became super loyal to the state like Craniamon, obsessed with their religious and moral values like Crusadermon, or becoming commanders like Duftmon. In regards to Craniamon, I think going from Solarmon to Guardromon Gold to Giromon can be seen as fun evolutionary line considering both gold and purple are symbol of royality and Giromon is a protector the net. For Duftmon, I like the traditional which is Leomon or the card game one Mikemon. Leomon gives Duftmon more masculine version and the Mikemon gives of a more feminine version.

Small correction, Bushi Agumon would make a nice rookie for Dynasmon and still reference DragonQuest as Dai’s original name is Dino and Bushi Agumon is also a dinosaur.

I always used the Meramon line for Gankoomon, but you're totally right, the Monmon line also fits pretty well! For Leopardmon, I've seen him either coming from Mihiramon OR Bastemon, both coming from Mikemon and I think that really fits to reference both the normal AND leopard modes and the femininity of Bastemon could reference that apparently Leopardmon was based on a female warrior who pretended to be a man like Mulan

Definitely love the pick on Dynasmon’s rookie. I think the DarkKnightmon line making up Craniamon’s line really works more but the metallic skulls on Andromon are a cool parallel. I think GrapLeomon works well for Leopardmon’s ultimate but I feel like Mikemon would have made more sense as the Champion form as it gave up its Holy powers from its rookie (Salamon) to become more beast (this and their colors matching well with Leopardmon Leopard Mode). Honestly for Gankoomon I was a fan of Candlemon, to Meramon, to Volcamon, to Gankoomon line. Meramon since he’s all about punches with flames and Volcamon because it possesses fire and earth elements from volcano, electricity from its cyborg body, and a booming voice like thunder OR a tough father-like master would have for their pupil in training. Referencing his attack Quake! Blast! Fire! Father! Volcamon also has his volcano linked with his anger which works with Gankoomon’s other move Flipping Table in Anger! XD

I am actually one of those who enjoys this video because I only know about Omnimon's digivolution line and that Gallantmon is a sort of digivolution of a Digimon and their human partner. I am a recent Digimon fan, but there's just so many Digimon that it's kinda overwhelming 😅. Plus, it's cool to see your own ideas too.

Omg Karn this is crazy but your suggested evolution line for Dynasmon is strikingly similar to mine, except instead of wizardmon I just have Coredramon (blue) who then evolves into Mystimon then Dynasmon, of course I could also see Wizardmon as the champion but as you said before, evolution in digimon is more free and can branch out at times, still I'm amazed how almost in sync we were when it came to Dynasmon (btw he's my favorite Royal Knight, love that guy)

Had a neat idea related to the Royal Knights: What if every Royal Knight had a "force". Several members have some special game breaking ability that doesn't seem to qualify as an attack, and end in the term "force": Ulforce Veedramon's titular Ulforce that lets him rewrite and replenish his digicode to adapt to battles; Alphamon's Alpha Inforce that let's him rollback time to retry a battle; and Omegamon's Omega Inforce that let's him read ahead in a battle and adapt his tactics based on that. I think it could make for a neat video, giving them basically Stand Powers that fit and improve their current battle style.

It does help that the mayority of the Knights are protagonist Digimon. We have seen many of their lines develop in so many series. You don't even need one hand to count those that needed lines. God I love the Royal Knights. One of my favorite groups in media.

I've always liked Monodramon to Airdramon to Gigadramon as Dynasmon pre-evolutions and pawnchessmon (Black) to Skullknightmon to DarkKnightmon (with or without DeadlyAxemon) as Craniamon pre-evolutions.

9:26 I always been a fan of Next Orders Tentomon -> Kabuterimon -> MegaKabuterimon(Blue) -> Craniamon Line, colours match, and big armoured bug getting more armour kinda works. Also not many bug digimon get to be in "high" positions.

So I did find your Gankoomon ending very interesting! It made me look more into the digimon and my brain did weird things. So it made me think about my favorite digimon Jijimon and how he doesnt really have a line that feels right to get him. Although I suppose wisemon is close but still off-putting. and for some reason with his staff with the Paw on it. It makes me feel like a slide evo from Gankoomon would make sense with the Gokuwmon theory him reverting back to the using a staff in old age. Also since the partner Digimon for Jijimon, Babamon, Is Also a Slide evo from Rosemon I thought it would seem fitting. Might be a bit too off topic but yeah
