Infiltration vs GamerBee immediately beforehand in that top 8 was amazing too, with Infiltration's unexpected character switch to Juri. OK, it was also very frustrating to watch because of Elena and her healing (which I think turned it into one of the longest SF matches ever at Evo?), but that also made it more tense.

Coming from a smash player, got a bit of bias Hbox vs. armada was really good, but MKLeo vs. Tweek was so fucking good Leo was on a run that I'd never seen before, upset early in bracket, then just dominating everybody up to Tweek in grands Tweek takes games 1 and 2, Leo takes 3, in game 4, at the end, Zard dair sends sideways in what looks like the spike hitbox Leo went back into form against Tweek for the rest of the set, not dropping a single game after that

For me it was Go1 vs SonicFox when Go1 won his first Evo. The match itself was so insanely close throughout and the emotion that came pouring out of Go1 when he won was so visceral. I wasn't a huge fan of Sonic for the longest time just because there was no tension in matches given how dominant Sonic was, but I came to really enjoy the rivalry between those two in DBFZ and I actually like watching Sonic play now because the pool of truly great fighters has grown so much since the MK X days.

I guess cause of the ending Gamerbee vs Momochi really doesnt get the love it deserves. The level of footsies, execution under massive pressure and the storyline personally dont think it can be topped. Was so invested in Gamerbee's loser's run to bring it so close but to come up short against Momochi who was on fire during that period of time. Literally the last chance to win Evo for a game that had so much investment from the players for 7 years
