Leather over suede?? Only leather shoes I skated were stan-superstar mix, they weren’t skate shoes but they felt amazing. I’ve only skated suede. I was thinking about getting the superstar adv or dunks. My favourite skate shoes ever were the Figgy G6, Janoski and Accel Slim. Any more recommendations 💪

Good info. As a complete noob, it's amazing how much of a difference shoes can make. My daughter and I are just starting out, and use wide toe box barefoot shoes. However, after work tonight we went out to skate and I only had my work shoes, Hokas. They felt weird, but I was still able to make some progress.

Bought a pair of the Lakai yeah right Cambridge. They’re so comfy but don’t want to skate them. Will definitely buy a pair to blitz in future. Managed to snag a cheap pair of Tyshawns and loving them. I’m also tight af so I always prefer suede. Thanks for the input. Even on the modern day jelly shoes 😂

I loved laikies idk why i loved the style love the lower weight, think the texture and grab of them felt good, way better then vans and addidas, all though some of my good friends swear by them think its personal preference and how you skate what you value
