Hey dude, I just came across your channel. I'm a psych nurse. Forgive me for being a little sceptical at first (I'm an old geezer now), but went back to your very fist video and then hopped through the next few years as you posted. I'm very impressed and pleased for you that you've used this channel as a barometer for how well you are feeling. You're remarkably insightful and you clearly have an excellent support network. Stay strong, keep talking to your loved ones, listen to advice when you're unsure of yourself, don't neglect your feelings when your thoughts are confused, talk about your feelings, trust yourself and other people if you can. Don't regard yourself as different from any other living, breathing mammal 😊

Thank you SOOOO much for these videos, I really think there need to be many many more people openly discussing mental illness on social media... My sister has schizophrenia and has had literally all of these delusions... It's just helpful to know that you're not alone in trying to handle such a potentially debilitating illness. And it is an ILLNESS no one does this on purpose!

I experienced a delusion recently as a part of a panic attack that I had inhaled carbon monoxide, for which I did have many of the symptoms (out late partying, panic) and ended up in the ER. Of course, I hadn't inhaled any and was fine and just needed rest. But I didn't know that might be called a somatic delusion! Thanks. The most interesting and perhaps universal aspect of (non-bizarre?) delusion, at least in my experience as a former psychedelic user, is that they have some basis in reality that makes it difficult to parse what element is true and what is a twisting or reframing of belief about that true element. Even watching some of your videos of you experiencing an episode, there were certain things you said that had a ring of truth, but at a depth beyond the pale of every day normative consciousness. It seems dismissive to me to say that a schizophrenic episode is simply madness without rhyme or reason. It might be more accurate to say that some schizophrenia is a delusional-prone dilation of consciousness. You are made extra-ordinarily aware of what is here and now, which may include clarity about the nature of things, possibly at the level of the sacred. But that truth is recolored, reframed or coopted by ego so as to veil it and extrapolate it with inductions and reasoning that is completely confused and untrue. I hope these are productive thoughts and it's not rude of me to posit my armchair analysis. I've been in very similar mental states before and I find it fascinating to try and understand the nature of that confusion, despite how unsettling and disorienting it is to experience. While I have been interested in defining the line between truth and untruth, it is safest and most peaceful to dismiss any and all beliefs and return to "I don't know". Were it so easy. I wish you well.

I have Asperger's and OCD symptoms because of it. Knowing the reason why certain things happen to me reduces some of the anxiety because I now understand that it is normal for me. When I get tired objects will sometimes turn into visual delusions - such as faces in pictures moving or things looking like insects and spiders and bugs. It is the brain trying to make sense of the sensory overload. If I get extremely tired by staying up for a few days those delusions will become outright hallucinations. The good thing is that in both cases I know that it can't be real, and since I know why it happens it scares me less than before knowing the cause. Also, if I get extremely socially anxious, I sometimes will get this paranoid delusion that everyone in the restaurant or the room is talking about me or staring at me. That one I have a tougher time with because it feels so real. I only convince myself that it is not by reminding myself of the implausibility.

Thank you for this my friend was diagnosed schizophrenic after 2-3 really difficult years (started for him 2 months into the COVID pandemic ..I mean obviously the pandemic doesn't cause anyone to develop schizophrenia but it seemed to hit a lot of people ready hard mentally) he is stable now but very sedated and cant seem to enjoy life but I really hope ..and of course he really hopes that in time this will change (Recovery can take a long time based on accounts I've read?) Anyway thank you for your channel I have watched several of your videos and I hope you continue to do okay ..and hopefully to do well ..with schizophrenia man :)

Mood congruent/ incongruent refers more if the type of delusions fits the state of disturbed mood. E.g.: delusions of grandiosity for a person with severe mania would be congruent

I had no background of having any mental ailment, I was perfectly normal. However, a difficult surgery had made me very despondent and I began getting the delusions you were talking about. With the instrument of the imagination, delusions of being watched, being involved somehow with major governments, feeling like people were watching me (and yes, these delusions were VERY strong), I could not understand what was happening but throughout it, I slowly got past the illusion that these things were from a human influence and switched gears to think that only God had access to my mind and memory, in fact ANY control of the human mind. Going down this course, I went through a personal ordeal with God to answer for myself. After that and now, I’m literally in communion with God and Jesus, because I’m being guided along in my life by them, but I’m here to tell YOU that you need to get with the fucking program and call God in to help you wipe away the delusions so He can finally get a hold of you. NO. FUCKING. JOKE. I cannot be more serious; and get the thought of religiosity OUT of your mind cause this is REAL. I am trying to be so emphatic right now through typing because He is *actually*, and He is not just some hive mind in the sky in holiness, He is heeeeere too. So good luck with that! *salute* I have no clue what God wants to tell you! :D

I'm 15 and unable to see a therapist or doctor to get a diagnosis, but I have bizarre delusions where I believe that natural objects or plants (such as rocks and trees) communicate and speak to me by controlling my thoughts telepathically. one time when I has feeling really bad a rock came from the ground and into my mind, morphed into a badger and telepathically gave me a pocket watch which I still have with me now, its stuck on the time ten minutes past 12 and I have no idea what its for. The crazy thing about delusions is the fact that even though I know its a delusion, I now believe they are using delusions to be able to talk to me, making me believe it even more. Luckily it doesn't affect my life too badly at the moment but I'm worried that it'll get worse. is this a sign of schizophrenia? also, have people developed hallucinations after years of having delusions? Edit: i forgot to mention that ive experienced persecutory delusions 2 or 3 times in my life and they were an incredibly terrifying experience for me, at night i would feel an immense sense of danger and urgency because i felt eyes on me wherever i was, an omnipresent man stalking me both inside my house and at the window who intended to harm me. Luckily ive never experienced hallucinations though

Yes, of course this is a sign of schizophrenia. This is very serious. Get help as soon as you can. You must be medicated.

If you are hearing voices and having delusions I believe you have demons. You have touched something like a ritual. That is how they enter. And it would have been a good feeling. I have demons that talk in my head everyday and all day now for over two years. I also see visions and have delusions. You need to find someone that is able to cast out demons. That is the only way you will have a normal life.
@ruivam

Anti psychotic medication will cast out the demons and you will get rid of them. You should not waste your time anymore and get help. The right medication is allowed by God to cure every evil people have inside / surrounding them. Thank God medication have been invented by God's instruments on Earth. Wasn't from medication, everybody would be forever suffering or dying.
