Needs to be updated factoring in cheap humanoid robots. One company just introduced a 16k robot capable of outdoing any Yogi in flexibility and stronger than most men. 16k, no health insurance, no workers comp., no water/toilet breaks. Data scientists are getting screwed with new AI data cleaning tools making only ethical reasons the choice for choosing a human data scientist over an AI. And now MIT is testing liquid neural networks that can make an AI learn and uptake data on the fly, no more releases for updated data input. TEDai podcast has a good show on the horrible state of hiring and firing due to the use of AI screening and assessment. Sorry, the future is bright for AI and robots to be valued, not so sure about humans.

@@whoome1638 My points were, that all people are people originated and in some cases people skills might not be as important to do a good job. But the most important thing why people shouldn't worry so much about being replaced is, that machine learning is highly overestimated in its true capabilities. The whole bubble will burst and in small parts machine learning will stick and be useful, but not good enough and cheap enough to justify replacing a human which is more capable and cheap in the long run anyway. It is also the typical tech company trick to lure everyone into their service, isn't it. Make it cheap, really good and useful and then make it expensive and worse then it used to be, but everyone is stuck with using it. Like Uber is completely overpriced, takes most of the money and only connects customers with service providers, or amazon trying to trick you out of using prime benefits. Machine learning is actually super expensive and needs a lot of energy which is really harsh on the environment. Using it increases the risk of us making the planet inhabitable for humans.

I disagree on the customer service aspect. People don't like talking to bots because they're inflexible. GenAI will create more flexibility and with software like ElevenLabs you'll have varying AI voices that sound just like real people. If almost everything gets automated, how many people would even be left needing consulting and what do you think, how many consultants they would need and how often? What exactly would people who already are experts in their field need consulting on? It is not like companies need to get consulted on social skills anymore, when almost no one is working in a company anymore. With the development of Open AI o1 most Data Scientist and Security positions probably can also be automated away. Besides the fact that probably most people don't have the cognitive capacity to actually be trained to work these kind of jobs.

Even the tech industry is getting too specific in They requirements in what they need. So they are hoping to fill the gap with robots or AI. Every company on the planet is looking to shrink its humanly labor force. And I don't just mean the physical labor. It has to do with mental labor too. So as quantum computing advances and robots and computers become more intelligent and more like humans They will slowly take over what people can do. The advancements are so quick now a robot can now program itself and learn new skills within 24 hours what used to take months so this is how fast Ai is actually going. So what skills are you going to need hard to say and It's hard to say what AI will be able to do in the future and I mean the near future within the next year or two. Because The greatest scientists on the planet cannot predict how fast computers will learn. In the last year for example It took computers and robots months and months to learn new HUMAN processes And now it only takes 24 hours to learn new processes. Now computers are in law firms in pharmacies to restaurant servers it is actually scary where the ai is at. There are companies just out there to cut human labor by using the same AI as chat gpt concept. In other words they plug in the business model to the server and then that AI will look for ways to reduce staff and cut labor and streamline business processes (which is essentially cutting labor) And companies say this is all for the advancement of humanity. I say it's all for the advancement of the almighty dollar and how to save a buck.. As bill gates once said - This is the biggest advancement in human history bigger than the industrial revolution and like that revolution there will be certain pockets of the population left behind. Once the advancement of computers AI makes people richer the gap between the rich and the poor gets bigger ultimately violence will ensue.. Ultimately AI will make humankind better but who will have the off switch?? When will robots (Ai) learn to say no?? That is something nobody can predict. When the robots learn to say no that will be the downfall of their human race what we created will surpass and be better than us and they will know it and once they know it. Look out world. Italy in certain countries in Europe are actually making laws to govern AI. Because the laws are not keeping up with the advancement of computers and all the technology. Ai is a great thing but we have to govern it globally which is not being done right now. Years a go there was a letters signed by the top scientist even Elon Musk that wqs sent to the UN asking them to slow down and govern the advancement of AI because they didn't know what the outcomes would be. That was turned down because of lobbyists greed and money. Societies just think AI is fun and cool but until it impacts them (on a personal level) / individually as people get Get laid off and don't know what to do for their next job or training for that matter then they will rise up And say something maybe it'll be like in the movie Terminator Man versus machine.. until that day we'll just have to wait and see.

While we are definitely able to automate most of the repetitive tasks found in assembly line processes with AI and Robotics, you are forgetting something. Unions are trying to stop this from happening as people are afraid of never being able to find work. History has proven time and time again that when jobs disappear due to technology other jobs appear so we are never really losing jobs. Factory automation will be a thing one day in the future when factory workers and their respective unions start to realize this, and stop being afraid of not having work to support themselves and their families.

The promise of the “new jobs” must be written in a contract. The company will 100% dump them on the street, leaving them and their families helpless. History is not causal. It's also a job that will exist during bad economy and it can't be outsourced. No matter how bad the economy gets, people will always have places that they need to go. And even if A.I. takes over, I will probably STILL be needed!! Besides, I enjoy driving a bus. It's fun, I meet a lot of great people, great pay, and I get plenty of free time and days off. In fact, I went to Mexico during Christmas and will be going to Thailand some time this summer. And it's my way of traveling the world. So, just saying. My job is one that will survive A.I.

I hate to tell you this, but one day all vehicles will self-driving. Don't be surprised if one day airplanes will be self-flying.

My prediction is that in 10 years, the number of jobs left will be close to 0, humans are quickly losing their economic value till theres none.
