Thank you. Hoping to come to UK to study physiotherapy. I have an interview with Robert Gordon university next week. University of Birmingham gave me a conditional offer but I am yet to receive an official communication with them.

Hey dude! I really appreciate your videos :) I’m 23 and looking to start a physio degree next year. Birmingham and London Kings College have caught my eye. Have you had any experience or knowledge on European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam? Also, I did a level 3 extended diploma in Sport and Exercise Science at college. Triple distinction * - I’m hoping that will be good enough for most UK unis!

Hey man, thats awesome bro!! Well, i'll be honest..not really, I have heard of them but since you mentioned, I did a quick google search and the reviews are not very nice.. have a look for yourself when you get a chance. What was it that caught your eye about them? I also did a Level 3 btec in sport - triple distinction too..but it wasnt enough to get in, I had to do a fd degree in science to get the biology element/ requirement which they look for as couldnt show this from my btec.. but it might be different for yourself. Best bet, ring up the admissions tutors and have a chat, they may be able to make a decision on an individual basis by evaluating your circumstances ;)

@@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689 Thanks a lot for your reply! I'm finding your videos very helpful. I note the bad reviews on ESP, I guess I was intrigued by the opportunity to study abroad and they offer summer internships internationally. I guess however there are study abroad options with most UK universities. I've just given you a follow on Instagram, perhaps we should have a chat sometime considering you're interested in property! I'm at a real crossroads at the moment. Thanks again for the advice!

Hey wanted to see whether you managed to get into the universities you mentioned above, I may be late, but having heard from both students and physiotherapists that have come from king's it is apparently not that good due to their overly academic style of teaching. I recommend university of east london (although their equipment is quite dated last time I was there), or St. George's tbh many good things said by past students and physios I've met.

Hey bro, thats awesome, well tbh just make it well rounded. Show are passionate about studying physio, have a life outside of academia, and ready for the challenge..and all the basic grammar and spelling checks are carried out. You'll get an interview mate 👍🏼

Is there an alternative root to becoming a Physio besides Uni? I got a MPP in Sports Science at college so I doubt I'll get a place in a uni. Plus the idea of Uni isn't really appealing due to the amount of time I would have to spend there and the amount of debt I would rack up, just to do exams and listen to lecturers and etc I learn stuff when I'm actually doing it practically.

Hey Connor, thanks for the comment man. Sure i mean from my understanding, currently Uni is the most popular option to train to become as a physio as its a 3 yr full time course. You do your 3 yrs and you're qualified. There are other avenues i believe which the CSP have recently established with the NHS. For instance one that i know of is for physio assistants who work within an NHS Trust to provide them funding to train to become fully qualified whilst they work. I don't have much experience here but i am confident it can be done, though i wouldn't necessarily assume its any less intense academic than a standard uni degree. Majority of the content in a physio degree is quite relevant and specific in my opinion. It has to meet CSP requirements..so naturally whatever course you do it will have to follow these same requirements.. Hope that helps mate

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply, and thanks for that info man. I currently work at a call centre at the moment and I'm 21 and I definitely know that's not for me but Physiotherapy is something that appeals to me I look more into that. Again thanks for the reply, just subbed aswell :)

Hey Veeragani, from my understanding i think it may be because they usually have only completed a bachelors degree. To be a 'Dr' you need to have done a Phd. Hope that helps

What would you recommend to girl who is 5 foot and physically weak to perform as physiotherapist. Is it a good career for those girls? I don't think they can move legs up and down or helps the patient to get up from bed alone.
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
@masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689 4 жыл бұрын
That shouldn’t be a problem. I know many people who are about 5ft tall. You can get help from a healthcare/physio assistant when assessing patients. Also another alternative solution: get in the gym 😂

Yeah. It helped. Do PT does massage therapy like 5 10 minutes. I think physio should stop doing it. Its downgrading our field. We should advance in dry needing, intramuscular stimulation, diagnostic imaging, supplements and medicine related to physio and laboratory testing. What do you think? Do you see our field developing?
