America never really appreciates the Canadian military to be entirely honest. No matter what us Canadians do, even if its something tremendous, the US never appreciates us tbh. A lone Canadian soldier could hold his ground against hundreds of soldiers on his own, but nobody would notice. But if its a US marine that does the same thing, a bagillion movies are made about it. At least Germany, Britain, and other countries realize how good Canada is. Those cages the SAS recruits are locked in used to be left next to train tracks. Having not eaten and slept in a week, the recruits believe they're going to be hit by the train. Also, they don't play loud music through the headphones, they play disturbing sounds like baby crying. Former British special forces operator Ant Middleton had to listen to a woman being attack whilst a baby cried in the background for hours whilst being in stress positions. He said it was the hardest part of selection due to the fact that he and his wife had just had their first baby. The interrogation and torture phase of the selection process is different for every recruit, as the training staff use the recruits' personal weaknesses/phobias against them to see how they cope.

Beckwith came back to the U.S. and told the generals we should have a unit "like" the SAS. The SAS had nothing to do with making Delta. "Big Phil" Campion a former member of the SAS said so in SOFREP. He said they didn't form Delta, and they didn't train them. That is a myth that seems to get perpetuated with brits. The SAS had about as much to do with Delta as the U.S. military did with your RAF, since Americans were first in flight (the Wright brothers).

I wouldn't say that the SAS is the best option. The SBS do a lot more now than they used to, they just don't get the same amount of press as the SAS do so they aren't as known about. The Last article I read about the SBS was in July when some soldiers from the SBS were in Afghanistan and they beat ISIS soldiers too death, one used his rifle as a club, some used rocks and one drowned someone in a puddle... They had no ammunition left. I think most think the SAS is better as they are given a lot of press but really special forces don't need the ​press.

On any other military video it would be every country's least literate arguing over who is toughest, despite the fact that most of these special forces are pretty similar and could probably go through one another's training if they wanted to. Same in Borneo in another jungle war. 8 SAS defeated a 250 adoo rebels im mirbat in oman in the 1970s. Falklands war they lived up to their name. Iranian embassy siege in london. Gulf war the record for the longest escape and evasion Chris ryan. Sierra Leone rescue of Uk army prisoners. Then basically ended the war by capturing the enemy and dropping the off to the army and police. Something the armed forces of sierra Leone could do. These are just a few examples of there capabilities. But to you kids out there saying are armed forces would beat the US forces get real. When someone puts Navy SEALs in lists like this, it proves how little knowledge lies behind the making of the video. Navy SEALs are a TIER 2 SOF, however DEVGRU is a TIER 1 SOF, those are the best of all the SEAL teams. DEVGRU works separately from the rest of the teams. NOW, there are a lot of SOFs that are good, about half of the ones who made this list deserves to be on it. Denmark and Norway have underestimated SOFs, don't belive me? Check for your self!

I do enjoy a good top list, but when it comes to special forces, it should be top lists without ranking within the list. There are tons of SOFs who are in the top, but worth mentioning, of the top of my head at least, is Delta and DEVGRU from the US, SAS and SBS from the UK, Shayetet 13 and Sayeret Matkal from Israel, SASR from Australia, Huntsmen corps and frogmen corps from Denmark, KSK and KSM from Germany, MARCOS from India, GIS from Italy, KCT from the Netherlands, FSK and MJK from Norway, some units from Russian Spetsnaz, SOG from Sweden, SSG from Pakistan, and OKK from Turkey. JTF-2, GIGN, Alfa Group, JW GROM and such forces are technically SOFs, but they stil dont serve the same military based purpose. They are counter terrorism units, and very much capable, but would not be sent to war, so to speak.They are technically police units, not military special forces.

SBS are better at warfare than the SAS. The SAS are more of a recon unit than an actual fighting unit and have been for years now. The SBS undertook a lot of operations in the most recent wars in Afgan and Iraq where as the SAS were used to gather intelligence. The best thing about both regiments is the fact that despite their name about 90% of their operations are on land. The biggest difference is where they recruit from with the SBS taking recruitment from the Royal Marines and the SAS from the Paras. That being said I'd rank them #1 and #2 in the world. They are phenomenal at what they do and their training is second to none.
