What are the next three numbers in the pattern 1, 2, 3.5, 5.5, 8? MANY will be CONFUSED!

It took me ages to work this one out, but I did ! and it turned out to be a simple case of +1 +1.5 +2 +2.5 so the next three are +3 +3.5 and +4 making the full sequence 1 2 3.5 5.5 8 11 14.5 18.5

I found it easy by first multiplying all the numbers by 10, to get rid of the decimal points. Then the pattern became easy to see. Just have to remember to divide the answers by 10 at the end.

Next numbers are 11, 14.5, 18.5? I solved what i found to be a pattern of adding 1, then adding 1.5, then adding 2, etc.

With respect, made the problem a lot harder and convoluted than it needed to be. Just taking “deltas” revealed the pattern without any of that trial and error nonsense.

11, 14.5, 18.5. There're similar "codes" you need to break when playing No Man's Sky. Start by adding 1, then increase the addition by .5 for each new number. I'm not sure how to represent it mathematically though. Now to watch the video and find out.
