To the Guardian: I found this quite difficult to watch because of the bizarre use of a stop-motion style frame-rate. It made some sense for the animation... But using it throughout the entire video, including the live-video footage, was really offputting for me. I hope you can use a more practical design for you next informative video, rather than sacrifice accessibility for style.

This may be legal, but it creates the conditions for illegality (e.g., money laundering). It may not necessarily be unethical to avoid paying taxes legally. However, it is unpatriotic, especially for the Queen of England to avoid taxes paid to her own country. While extremely wealthy individuals and families may benefit, at a macro level it removes money from a national economy, thereby producing a depressive effect on growth. I'd be very curious to know the investment portfolios of these offshore tax havens and compare their rates of return with less shady financial institutions (if there is such a thing these days).

Great! If you have the resources, you should pay as little tax as possible. Governments are for the most part extremely inefficient bureaucracies and they waste taxpayers money.

@tednorton51507 жыл бұрын
it needs to be solved by a unified taxation standard that sets a minimum global expectation. ALL nations are fucked by this practice and runaway capitalism in general. the WORLD needs to pick up pitchforks and go up the hills and drag out people to swing from lampposts. the vampires in the castle overlooking everyone.

As long as they're paying some tax at least equal to what we all pay then I don't see anything wrong with them hiding the rest of their money. Why should someone pay more because they earn more after all the services we receive from our taxes does not improve because one pays more than another.
